  1. It's a natural reaction to be worried right now, I am for the first time in weeks. A Swansea win would put a stop to that. After beating Liverpool and Chelsea many people thought we were going to continue that good run of form but it never happened, it never was going to, it wasn't realistic. Yet now we have lost 2 games in a row it's suddenly nailed on that this run of defeats will continue. I'm predicting that run won't realistically continue, it might only be a point or two, but it will be enough Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  2. It's all well and good so many people coming on here saying how dire Stoke and Sunderland are, but the table suggests we are no better than them. Both will be very tough games Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  3. It will go to the last day, but too many on here are basing everything on the assumption we will lose both our games. If we lose to Sunderland and Stoke then there's no point us being in this league. I can see Wigan escaping, Norwich could be in the most trouble though Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  4. To think we were laughing at those who had bet us to get relegated, wish I'd have got a bet down earlier Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  5. With our impending relegation, who should we look to get in next season from the Champiokship? Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  6. It's quite significant that on most online bookmakers we are not even quoted, so you'd have to email them for a price. Even so, theres nothing wrong with having a tenner on, at least if it did happen, (highly unlikely), you get something out of it. Best to cover yourself at such big odds Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  7. Should we not be looking at beating Sunderland? IMO they are a very poor team with a lot of average players, I'd be embarassed if we don't get a result against them Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  8. Well we must be safe, I'll explain why. After our heavy 3-0 defeat we were reliably informed on here that it was not a bad day at the office, but the start of a downward spiral. Sunderland are on 2 points less and currently taking absolute battering from fellow strugglers Aston Villa. They have had a couple of good results recently but form shouldn't come into it. If we apply the same logic, this is not a bad day at the office or a one off, they are clearly on a downward spiral towards relegation and it will be nearly impossible for them to pick up any more points. Add in the fact the mighty Wigan are highly likely to win all of their remaining games, this will relegate Sunderland, with us finishing 17th. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  9. Mathematically we are not safe, but the odds on our relegation suggest we are. I think we will only get one point from the last 3 but that should be enough. It might be a disappointing and nervy ending to the season but considering our start, survival in any way is a success IMO. In a way I suppose it makes it a bit more interesting now, after we thought we were home and dry a couple of weeks ago! Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  10. Surely Spurs' equaliser is irrelevant as we're going down anyway? Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  11. There's a chance he might be able to help them out with penalties;) Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  12. Can't see us getting a result at Reading, think it'll still go to the last day. Still, assuming QPR and Reading are gone, we'd have to have a worse run of results than 6 other teams to go down now, difficult to see that happening, and the odds reflect that. Got a decent wager on Reading on Saturday though, 9/4 is a big price Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  13. Samba once again showing his world class ability, shrewd bit of business by 'Arry Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  14. Did Liverpool not put out their strongest side against us, apart from the goalkeeper? But then that also means Chelsea played against a 'weak' Saints team for 45 minutes Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  15. Can't see us winning this, would be happy enough with a point as we only need to average a point a game to be safe. Some on here seem rather confident, we've had poor away results recently at Newcastle and Norwich. 2-1 Reading I'm afraid Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  16. We shouldn't be worrying so much about Wigan. If we're not able to get to at least 38 points after the next 8 games then we're simply not good enough to be in this league Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  17. Well I'm not sure the players are, judging by the last 3 performances Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  18. We're playing them just at the wrong time. 4-0 Liverpool I think, could be the wake up call we need Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  19. Ramirez has taken a while to settle in, let's not forget that there are still some games left for him to step up to the plate and justify his price tag. We need him to as we'll be in the bottom 3 in 3 weeks time Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  20. It's about time we showed a bit of passion, to me it was an obvious reaction. Luckily justice was done but it was a shocking decision to accept when we're down the bottom fighting for our lives. As for the FA, we all know what they're like with regards to treatment of the top sides, let's just forget it and move on Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  21. Absolute embarassment, Norwich are so, so poor and we are even worse, a point simply isn't enough. Now watch us go beat Liverpool.. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  22. There's no reason we shouldn't win this. Newcastle have simply been victims of media hype after signing a load of French players and winning a couple of games. The fact is they are on the same amount of points as us. Reminds me of when we were all hearing about how Villa were an excellent young side and that Benteke was the best young striker in the league after they had beaten Liverpool. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  23. It's amazing how the table can change. At 3pm yesterday I thought we were in big trouble, come 7.25 and we're only 3 points off of 11th. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
  24. Exactly, it's like when we went into the Swansea game expecting a win after getting maximum points from the Newcastle and QPR games. It simply doesn't happen, Gazza's cock up was almost guaranteed to happen, it's very much the law of averages.
  25. It'll go to the last day, I'm expecting a maximum 4 points from the next six games (losing to City, Newcastle, Chelsea and Liverpool, draw with QPR and win at Norwich),which would see us bottom f the table. then at least 10 from the remainder (Wins over Stoke, West Ham and WBA, draw at Swansea). That's pretty poor form but should just be enough.
