Dominated the game for 90mins. But it did show if we had a decent forward it would have been a cricket score tonight!!

I can see quite a few being released in the summer. Maybe we just have to accept that the current crop, haven't progressed. You can't expect there to be a Bale, Ox, Shaw or even JWP every season. If you did then surely other clubs would be producing a youth player a season into their first team, but they aren't. Our expectations are high, maybe we just have accept that the next one might not come along for a couple of years.

Could be a message to the board that we can't just use them to fill out the squad? Bit of pressure to buy in this window rather than say use Gallagher? He sees these players much more than us, so to those saying lets just play all the kids...looks like they need more time or simply aren't as good as everyone bills them up to be.

It's their business model. Sign tons of youngsters and send them out on loan. Let other clubs develop and progress them. They then sell them on for more money and very little outlay over the period out on loan. Allows them to then sign a big player with the sales of lots of smaller players.

Wonder where Gaston would go though, many overseas windows have already shut. If he isn't going to feature I'd rather ship him out and use his wages to sign a better version of him
