Potential would appear to be the cheaper option as the proven manager would demand a higher wage. Potential is more of a game but when money is tight that is why clubs go for potential over proven. My fear over Adkins is that he has done well with no pressure, no transfer budget and no expections. I worry how he would cope with pressure, some money to spend and massive expections....

Seems to like telling the public his every move. That wont go down well with NC. Maybe they have interviewed the unemployed people first while they get permission to speak to those employed.

IF it is Adkins i'd be very surprised if it costs us that much. It's well known Scunny have a small budget so i can't imagine he is on a massive amount as manager. Just their chairman trying to get greedy as they know we have money. My worry with him is that he has done well with no money, but if he joins us i'm sure he will be given some money in Jan. Might not be very good when he is given money to spend, many managers have failed there. Peter Taylor and Craig Burley (Ipswich) to name just two.

I think it just shows nobody really knows who it's going to be.

Cos it appears only Woodgate and Kightly are the only players left out of the squad lists. No other real names left out of the squad.

Wolves have just announced theirs and Michael Kightly isn't in it due to coming back from injury and they have said they will loan him out. Probably go to a championship side, but fits the mould of the type of player we need (ie winger)

That's quite a take up if 30 have applied from people currently employed. Excluding the premiership teams that's 72 clubs and 30 have applied! Not all will be working as a manager but still that shows what appeal we have.

Really hope we don't go for Hart. Seems crazy appointment IMO, how old is he?! Hardly a name to pull in players to drop to L1 to play for us. Hmm, just hope it's as a coach or something instead..
