So sounds like the FL wont approve the deal as we are planning to appeal against the -10 points. So drop the appeal and they will sign it. Sounds rather pathetic doesn't it. Who's gonna back down first....
-
I expect confirmation tomorrow that the takeover has been completed, with the details coming on monday. But please give us a little bit of info to keep us going over the weekend, otherwise it's gonna be one long weekend!
-
Looks like it's gonna be the first story after the break for anyone who wants to see it.
-
I remember skiving off football training to go see that game, it was a night one if i remember rightly?
-
Basically nobody knows and nobody knows. HTH

He would be a gamble as he's only managed at Conf and L2, and i think if he wasn't an ex saint people wouldn't even be talking about him. In my opinion he would be a gamble along the lines of Sturrock.

So Paul Ince did well at L2 Macclesfield and L2 MK Dons and got his chance with Blackburn and it didn't work out. So in my opinion will have a point to prove wherever he goes next. He will want to prove to the doubters that he can manage and Blackburn was just a blip. Could do worse than Ince IMO, an ambitious manager with a point to prove, sounds good to me.

The Unofficial Official Unofficial Saints kit ideas
EBS1980 replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Saints
Would love either of those! To be honest i actually think i prefer the Ajax way round. But hopefully the new owners can get the request in to Umbro for this or next season. -
So why do people now think it's this guy then?
-
So who u think it is then Nick?
-
Although i think it'll be someone we've never heard of, didn't they say the backer was a household name or was that one of the other bids?

The Unofficial Official Unofficial Saints kit ideas

The style of kit many would like to see IMO, but need to switch the colours round the other way. Not a fan of the round badge either, keep it as just the creast and will look much nicer. -
I'll go for a total stranger nobody has ever heard of!
-
Maybe our new owner is so filthy rich he doesn't need anyone else's money? Oh we can but hope :-)

Attention Seeker? Why reveal all at midnight?

How many players do we need t mount a promotion push?
EBS1980 replied to CLOTH EARS's topic in The Saints
Personally i dont think it'll take much in transfer fees to get promoted as there are plenty of players who could do a job for us on frees. We need a comanding centre half (but not a cart horse) and a left back. A right and left midfielder and a couple of forwards, one bigger phyiscal type and one with skill or speed. Webber would be a good signing in my view. -
Whats the website address of the site that was set up?
-
Going back to Oz, or so Stelling kept saying all season on Soccer Saturday.
-
Did ok at QPR, think they were 8th before they sacked him, hardly a bad job.
-
Would love to see a return to this style for us, ah the good old days...
-
I see it's got a coming soon page up on the OS site at the mo. Wonder what it'll be like....
-
Maybe not as much as others, but until that takeover has gone through i'm not gonna be getting carried away, we've had far to many false dawns even in my relatively short lifetime
-
Although good that we appear to have been saved, i'll wait til i know the details and who the money man/men are before i get too carried away.

The lack of confirmation of who was actually playing stopped me buying a ticket.
