That isn't the point though, is it? I think it should read more like: Who is more likely to change sides in a war, if offered a cash incentive? a. Lowe b. Lawrie Mac
-
Woe betide anyone criticise dear ol' Lawrie....
-
Yup. Yet this often gets overlooked. Didn't do too bad out of the reverse takeover.... at least with someone like Lowe he nails his colours to the mast... LMc's a shapeshifter

A good winger... who will prob remind you a bit of Pahars; Saulius Mikoliunas

Telegraph article re Council buying the club
Crab Lungs replied to wimbornesaint's topic in The Saints
Loved the article and its sentiments, but anyone would know that ****ing sh..it council will not have the foresight or vision to buy the club. For a start, it cannot even manage its own internal affairs. Lots of nest feathering at SCC, exactly what we DO NOT want. However... if the SCC were to run SFC, will it make the club more transparent? -
Oh dear... if anyone listens to Matt speak, he's one of the most articulate and knowledgable pundits around. FWIW, not only will he unify the city and the club, I reckon, alongside some good coaches, he'd do a decent job. 'managing' and 'coaching' are two seperate entities. Le Tissier, by all means, could manage - when I hear him speak about something, I think 'he's someone I wouldn't mind playing for' - on the opposite hand, when i hear gob****es like Shearer, Keane and especially Ince talk, I can kind see right through them. Le Tissier, however, is genuinely switched on. Not only that, he genuinely is a 'leader' - as opposed to bully-types (Ince and Keane) and pretenders (Shearer).... players do see through it, and that why those 3 won't be successful managers. IMO.

TCDAJFU- Ian Evatt (Blackpool), Tom Heaton (ManU/Cardiff), Mark Howard (St. Mirren), Arron Davies (Nottm Forest), Jon Parkin, Ross Wallace (Gah, said so many times to sign these guys, no chance now but ah well!), Rickie Lambert (Bristol Rovers), Dele Adebola (Bristol City), Graeme Lee (Shrewsbury), Ben Davies (Shrewsbury), Darren Ambrose (Charlton), David Connolly (Sunderland), Ryan France (Hull), Alex Bruce (Ipswich), Adam Le Fondre (Rochdale), Andy Bishop (Bury), Andy Welsh (Yeovil), Steve Kabba (Watford), Moritz Volz (Ipswich, Ivan Sproule (Bristol City), Keith Southern (Blackpool), Mark Phillips (Brentford), George Boyd (Peterborough). Some of these are unrealistic, but meh...
-
Spot on. Rickie Lambert and Dave McG upfront would run riot. Just gotta get Lambert up here... FWIW I would love us to sign Arron Davies back, too... Davis James Perry Thomas Mills A Davies Gillett Wotton Holmes Lambert McGoldrick Very, very good team for for L1... but of course, I am fantasising...

McGoldrick does have ability... he just needs one of the biggest kicks up the arse anyone could give him, ever.

Petition to Mr Fry. Removal of the Doncaster Train Picture
Crab Lungs replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
Mr Chump, I forgot to reply to you the other day!!! Don't worry, wasn't hiding from my humbling! Well, I stand corrected to your post previous, apologies. It would appear that I had arisen from the woodwork once more to bite your ankles, but you've kicked me away with considered aplomb. Still, I will remain your devils advocate forevermore.
