  1. OK, thanks for that Saintsforeva, much appreciated...! Like to think I am getting progressively better, so here's my latest efforts...
  2. Wow, Saints foreva... any chance you can sling us the template for that... would love to have a crack at that template!!! Awesome stuff...
  3. OK, solid, unspectacular start... my first proper photoshop kit....
  4. I mean Paul Simpson as well as Tisdale.
  5. Paul Tisdale, Dave Penney.... Like Grayson... maybe Sean O'Driscoll?
  6. I don't think it was gung-ho at all - it was just a prime example of someone who talks a good game but is absolutely f u c king rubbish at motivating and coaching when it comes down to it. His team had no idea what formations they were playing and had absolutely no patterning of play. They ran around alot, but they had no idea when they went out onto the pitch how to construct an attacking move and defend. In fact, they were one of the most toothless teams i have ever seen in the Premier League... Put that together with his staggering lack of charisma (he made SG Eriksson look like a psychopath) and you get a very bad manager. Shearer is very good at giving little soundbites and stating the obvious, but I doubt very much he is any good at coaching given the evidence of his 8 (most very winnable) games in charge. Kinnear, an average manager BUT a motivator, probably would have kept them up.... a good lower league manager would have gained more respect there without a doubt once the players realised that Shearer couldn't cut it. The above also goes to Ince... although he is even more stupid and grossly inarticulate. Billy big ****** when he played, but when it comes down to it, just a gob sh i t e. So please, none of those above. Tisdale, Boothroyd, Simpson or Dowie would be solid bets though. If I was to dream, Coppell, WGS or Metsu.
  7. LOL, if I was part of a consortium and had made myself a good life and some money through business, I actually wouldn't give two toss****'s what anyone on here thought. I don't want Jackson involved with club but it doesn't mean he's bad at what he does just because his spelling is poor... and at least he's communicative.... but then again, he might be enjoying the attention.
  8. Horne and Corden... possibly the unfunniest, least talent plebs who have mugged a living off all of us. Unreal.
  9. One of my fave TV moments ever. Blessed, brilliant.
  10. "What could possibly go wrong?" Steve Grant, you asked it... England duly delivered.
  11. She was in the paper smooching one of my mates the other day. :-(
  12. http://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSL21012520 Interesting... Lufthansa are 'subscribed' to receive updates on weather, dangers etc yet the AirFrance wasnt'...
  13. http://www.weathergraphics.com/tim/af447/ Interesting read, if you can be bothered to read it...
  14. I have toyed with the idea, believe me... :-o
  15. unless they are foreign in there, the girls will be Southampton dogs. Avoid.
  16. I know alot of those guys... Kudos to me.
  17. Never played sexy football under Strach? You lot mentals? 02/03 was one the most entertaining in years, right up to the 2-2 at Boro away. Then, for some reason, we looked a shadow of our former selves. We still had a few good games left in us, but we were never as assured since that game. I know a few other posters also pinpoint this as a turning point...
  18. Me and a couple of my tyre kicker friends would be interested. Where do I sign? Do I have to prove that I have funds?
  19. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~47171,00.html Never knew this fella signed for us...
  20. Anything by Greg Pritchard.
  21. No, just Leon Crouch please... No committees, or fans getting involved... we all know what happened last time.
  22. Maybe the Strachan bandwagon is really gathering momentum cos I have had 3 people to day mention him to me... not anyone I would call ITK though, maybe, like me, wishing and hoping it would be possible. I have to say though, I think Bruno Metsu would be a fantastic choice of manager.
  23. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/specials/rich_list/article3761758.ece horse flesh? Some of the first team squad better be worried...
  24. Britains Got Talent Should be split into child and adult categories, simply because it's too easy for people to sympathise with any kiddies who burst into tears.... there is a real 'awwwww' factor which shouldn't infiltrate the show or be a basis for people to vote ahead of someone else. Having said that, I thought Hollie was exceptional and unbelievably gutsy to do it again. However, I'm surprised as surely it breaches rules? I mean, can any at which didn't get their act technically perfect now ask for a second chance? Hmmm.... I do applaud the fact she got another chance though, it was a 'human' decision, not a rigid corporate one.
  25. Well done, you probably have... but on the flipside, it doesn't make your opinion any more important than mine. The jist of my comment on this thread is through the anger of continuously reading people being needlessly critical of some of the players who have actually cared. Like Chez says, I think people on here confuse not trying with playing poorly. Irrespective, if we are to be as one next year, we are really going to have to cut out the reactionary drivel and give these players the backing they deserve. Unfortunately, there are so many people in a rut with complaining, whinging and *****ing that I can only hope this takeover completely galvanises their attitudes. I suppose it's just a case of having to agree to disagree... whilst I am infuriated some of our pathetic players are still drawing undeserved wages from the club, I count Surman as one of the few who does deserve better... even if he has been underpar in recent months.
