Fear not, it will be again soon, probably in 2 seasons time when we're on a par with them Seriously though, for me to comment on a thread like this when i have been, rightly or wrongly, very critical of the fans in recent times speaks volumes. But what Stu has touched upon has been somewhat overlooked and is damning... i don't think this should ever be forgotten, whatever happens. **** whoevers in boardroom and whoever claims power, the REAL DAY when we get 'our club' back is the day when we have 11 players who will bleed for the red and white. When that happens, the city, the people, the outlook will all change - and it will be noticeable everywhere. There will be the long craved unity after such a divisive period of time... fans will no longer argue politics, but team selections... Flowers will look brighter, food will taste better and goals will be appreciated more than they have ever been. FWIW, we're not out of the woods yet but I believe that day won't be far off from now.

Unfortunately Stu, you will not find many, if any, selfless players in this day and age. They live in a totally different world and whilst there are exceptions (Damiano Tommasi, and I think another fella at Roma, and an Ath. Bilbao player who deferred or requested minimal wages) in the UK you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with an ounce of humility and ethics. Telfer I suppose is one, as was Taricco... but these cases were a while ago. I don't blame the fans essentially for not being at SMS... especially with the prices and the product on offer... I do proportion a large amount of the blame on the trough-dwellers who KNOWINGLY continued to take, take, take whilst the club was going to the wall. Its simply amazing that the fans rallied around yet even in a credit crunch, put their hands in their pockets. worst of all though is not one has said 'thank you' or given anything back. It stinks, and if we cease to exist the only bright cloud on a very dark horizon will be that the deck will be swept of these bloodsuckers.

Spot on Stu, to be fair... It's amazing how players who have led us to relegation and some of the worst performances in decades have not at least felt a little bit guilty about picking up their wages whilst knowing the club was on the brink of extinction AND its fans scraped every last penny together... worst thing of all? Not even a ****ing thank you from some of the overpaid xxxx's...

Murty is good... and would be affordable. Duberry is washed up, would be rubbish in any league he plays in. Golbourne is half decent, worth a punt. Lita, yes, but won't come here (he could do it in the Prem to be honest, let alone the Champ or L1!) and the GK (no going to attempt his name when I'm this tired!) also.

It's from 'RocketSwannie' on 606... can anyone clarify his sources? Has he got much right before???

Good job I haven't got 1,000 shares in SLH... ...Oh feck.

You saddo, Chuckle. **** off and concentrate on Rotherham.

I hope that this is possible, and damn, I like to have a positive outlook on things but we are becoming bitter and renowned whingers. True, we haven't had much to shout about in recent years but it just kinda feels the fans (as well as the club) are stuck in a negative cycle of depression. I hope its broken soon... I really do... and the only way that will happen is with a completely fresh board at SFC minus all the hangers on and unsuitables; McMenemy, Crouch, Askham, Richards... as well as all the obvious candidates. Fingers crossed, eh?

Good luck with championing reasoned debate, you don't get much of that from the froth-mouths here...
-
Scores quite alot as well... Matt Richards, Ipswich, just released.
-
Yes, I know he has done alot of things wrong, I have acknowledged that... as I do acknowledge some of the things he did right. It's called 'balance' - there's defo the need for some people to get that on here...
-
Not a genius, no, but I think the biggest point here is that he got it done and was pro-active. Unlike our former slimeball chairman...
-
Yes, arguably it was. But see my point above.... there are plenty of teams out there who move to new grounds and perform OK, sometimes above expectations. I'd say it's got plenty more to do with the manager and players instilled then the fans.

Saints fans now blaming the stadium for poor results shocker...
-
I can't believe Rupert, what an arsehole - trying to source 'additional revenue streams' into the club. :S

Just finished 2012 by Whitley Streiber. A good read most of the way, a bit far fetched and the ending was rushed and very naff. And another book on aliens (this time abductions) by David M Jacobs. Now that was a good read... very interesting..

Ha, what a retard. Typical SFC dribbler, I take it? FWIW, Lawrie is doing a very honourable thing in letting the public know how many tickets are sold and that we need to sell more... but it doesn't escape the fact he's a shapeshifter.
