  1. Fair one I just think this is one thing that could have been identified a lot earlier, like, last year. No one can surely like the idea of going into the season with Adams, Obafemi, Tella and Long as the options upfront.
  2. Finally, someone who can actually articulate a point instead of throwing around insults. this is me speaking honestly, but I would have asked ings 2020 close season what his intentions were. He must have known. If it wasn’t a conclusive yes that he wanted to stay, then I’d have moved onto my primary targets (assuming that recruitment dept has done their job) in that summer. Not that it matters as I have no say in the running of SFC but it’s a conversation I’ve had with my friends before about the Ings situation. For me, finding out last year would have made more sense and a chance of a bigger transfer fee, potentially. I get your point… tbh, mine, yours and a lot of others is all if, buts and maybes. But I was just giving my perspective. When it comes down to it, I think it’s a bad move. Saints always seem to be a club that pretends to be organised but in reality, are just winging it and have been for years.. hence the muddled recruitment, loss of good managers, bad appointments etc.
  3. At what point is is stupid? Ings was 1 in 2 for us. selling a 10-20 goal a season proven PL striker potentially could mean relegation. Now reliant on a scouting dept with a less than glorious record to replace the above with a week and a half left on the close season. we will not spend all of the money received. Worth revisiting the post at the end of the season and see how much of it is correct..
  4. Wow, great response.
  5. Lots of people relying out the scouting and recruitment department spending that money wisely.. of which we’ll spend probably a third of it. Despite injuries, he’s 1 in 2 for us goals to apps. 30m less the sell on for a quick buck and hope that Tella becomes Mane MKII… or 250m cost of relegation. clown club.
  6. I thought we used to breed our success? 🤨
  7. Load whichever relevant football manager in the series is the latest with a small database and filter all players interested in a transfer, giving you about 30 well known duds to choose from. Do not use scouting, at all. Do not watch any players. Choose from that list.
  8. The players you really want should be bid for starting at an insultingly low offer.. and when you get told to sod off, go up in increments of 1p until they move to another club.
  9. We probably were, but as usual we were probably making derisory offers, slowly going up in increments of a penny.
  10. Itll be do do do do romain perraud do do do do romain perraud anything else will be troubling for many.
  11. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can get decent PL level footballers for £3m-£10m if the scouting/recruitment is correct. Don't need big names or big fees.
  12. I literally just said he same thing to my mate. Now is the time to start changing the rules on ownership, fit and proper etc and avoid cartel ownership from here on
  13. He on my said this a few months back... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.republicworld.com/amp/sports-news/football-news/jose-mourinho-takes-a-dig-at-project-big-picture-says-football-cant.html Really hope he did tell them to poke it
  14. Apparently it was... great to see some integrity if true. Doubt many others will follow suit..
  15. I suspect the likes of Barca have only joined this as they’re so skint and this bails them out. Irrespective of this, with Neville on this 100%. Make a big move, deduct them points whatever but make a strong statement. Tell them to GTF.
  16. This is what’s annoying me. Have a young superstar, perfect romeu replacement and he’s been sat there for months.
  17. Crying out for Jankietwitz
  18. Clown football club
  19. What a pathetic start from Saints. Pathetic. So lucky we’re not losing. cup final on their minds clearly
  20. He will be someone else’s star in the not too distant future, I have no doubt about that. Which would be shame for us
  21. That was bad from Forster
  22. Oh my... I spent about a month hallucinating, having nightmares and not being able to understand people talking to me; it was strange, like I'd hear the words but couldn't process a response as my mind was so foggy, unclear, scrambled. That took weeks to lift. Really glad he's on the mend. It does take ages, it's really frustrating but he'll make progress every day I'm sure. Does he have any of the smaller symptoms remaining? Congestion, fizzing skin, toilet troubles?
  23. Shocking how quickly you can go from feeling a bit under the weather to literally the reaper standing over you. Did the hospital say anything about PTSD? From what I've also read, the ECMO machine is a real life-saver...
  24. As far as I can tell, no ill effects from what I was like previous. Diet has improved, though I do wonder whether the bouts of exhaustion is just age or something underlying, left behind from the illness. The exhaustion that lingers though was literally nothing like the level it was during the illness - that was another level; crippling fatigue on a scale I'd never encountered. I have empathy for your friend as it does knock the **** right out of you. When did you friend contract it? I'm assuming he's a similar age to yourself? It's utterly incredible what it could do to seemingly healthy people.
  25. This is a perfect opportunity to edge ourselves closer to the 40 or so points required to stay in the league - and start prepping to go again next season. Brighton don't look a bad side - they create, but are unfathomably wasteful. Seeing as they play with 3 lumpy centre-halves, it would be nice to see a bit of dynamism and pace in our side to pull them about a bit. Forster, Bertrand, Vestergaard, Bednarek, KWP, Diallo, JWP, Armstrong, Tella, Djenepo, Adams. Only player I'd rather not have in there is Djenepo for Minamino, but as I said, I'd like us to have a bit of direct running/pace...
