Yeah, because getting relegated from the Premier League worked out so well the first time. It is Fonte as in 'Font'. Apparently his wife gets quite wound up about the mis-pronunciation. To be 'Font-ay' it would need to have an acute 'e' at the end i.e. Fonté. Heard plenty of people call him 'Ho-zay' too. If he was Spanish that would be correct, but he's quite clearly not and it's pronounced 'Jo-zay'.

It is funny how a few murmurings on the Internet can vilify or deify a person in an instant - especially when it's never that black or white.
