  1. Somebody else got there first: http://www.sfcshirts.com/
  2. That's Monday mornings for you, d'oh! Fixed now:
  3. That's class! Hope you don't mind but I created a managerial cheat sheet to match:
  4. "Thank you for dragging us up from the abyss - hope those legs have got a few more years in them!"
  5. Exactly. Daft free kick in the first place and then Cissé was clearly offside. Now we're going to have to put up with every man and his dog fapping over it for the next few weeks...
  6. Thereabouts. "Some media sources claimed that the transfer fee paid by Southampton for Paulo Gazzaniga in 2012 was higher than that paid for Robert Taylor, but the fee was not officially disclosed by either club." Gillingham received £1.5m for Taylor from Manchester City. Transfermarkt reports it as £2.77m.
  7. Probably makes Forecast one of our most expensive signings.
  8. We'll just have to make it the worst birthday of Redknapp's lifetime then and one of Pochettino's best.
  9. Really? What was he supposed to say - "I stick to my prediction and still don't think Lambert's going to reach 5 goals this season"?! The guy's an embarrassment.
  10. I imagine the interview will be repeated on Sky Sports News but the rest was just part of Soccer Saturday. Was a decent little chat with MP though. He really does have something about him. In his (translated) words, Nicola Cortese is "only human" - who knew?!
  11. Been half-expecting for this sort of story to break. He's reportedly been unhappy for a while - hearsay suggests he was promised a rather more... well, shall we say 'involved' role. Whether he's purely been held back by injury or is simply not up to it seems difficult to call. People say he didn't impress but his minutes on the field for our first team can't total much. Shame in a way if true but on the other hand we must be approaching a tidy-up of personnel?
  12. Just seen that adult ticket prices for Reading's own fans are £40-42 for this match - by the time you've added on a booking fee and cost to drive up from Southampton that makes it equally as expensive as buying a ticket for Newcastle AND travel with Saints Away. Not best impressed.
  13. He's playing in his strongest position now which helps. Adkins did utilise Davis there towards the end of his reign, but for much of the first half of the season he was wasted at CDM. Definitely a square peg in a round hole there. So yes, he does seem to suit our current playing style but I don't think that's the only reason he's proving the doubters wrong.
  14. I'd rather cut my ears off.
  15. If you're more of an animated GIF kinda person:
  16. Looking a lot more composed and generally in a happier place at the moment. Yes, Schneiderlin and Cork do a lot of the hard work in defence but that's why they're there. As a CDM in a 4-2-3-1 a hefty part of the job is to relieve pressure on the CBs. If he can continue to play at the same level it gives the manager a nice (and somewhat unexpected) selection headache.
  17. No, not 'over' him as such, though it doesn't stop me appreciating the subtle improvements to our play that have been introduced since. Pardew and Adkins have special places in recent Saints history and that can't be whitewashed. Hopefully Pochettino will attain the same status over time.
  18. He was left outnumbered two-to-one during most of City's attacks! Jeez, that'll cause bother for even the most established of full backs. Fox has had poor spells for us but you can exclude today.

OP must be having a giggle - he was beyond awful and his lino on the Itchen side was even worse. I know that referees are human and always likely to make the odd mistake, but it's the lack of consistency afforded that gets my goat.
  20. Loud and proud today but not quite as incredible as the OP made out! A few spells of silence and there was definitely some better days in League One and the Championship. Fantastic support overall but did highlight how lacklustre it's been for most of the rest of the season. Hopefully that's behind us and we'll carry the noise through to the final day now.
  21. Surely won't take long to circumvent this ruling. As a simplified model, couldn't a club just find a creative way to sell something to itself or its rich benefactor in order to increase revenue?
  22. How much did I pay this year... £575 for renewals wasn't it? Surely can't jump higher than £650. Well, it'd better not anyway. Scraping together every penny at the moment to put down the deposit on a house, can't see my lady being happy with me lobbing the best part of a grand at a season ticket (if that's the way it goes)... £700 would be £36.84 per game just for ST holders, goodness knows how expensive that would make one-offs.

    Redknapp

Hoping this will be the case and that we really do create a hostile atmosphere; more likely expecting for there to be a couple of chants at the beginning and then general apathy. Maybe a little banner if we're lucky. Prove me wrong, please!
  24. All very well looking at points dropped and saying "if only..." but every team could do that; far more important that Pochettino and his coaching team identify ways of preventing it in the future. Taking our chances seems to be something of an issue of late - if we can put games to bed earlier I believe we'll stay up without too much bother.
  25. Looking at it from your predictions (many of which look plausible) I feel pretty confident. Whichever matches they come in, 3 wins and 5 draws from the remaining 13 games has got to be the bare minimum we aim for. Obviously if those points come from games against relegation rivals then so much the better.
