Channons Sideburns, let me clarify. Alan Woodford was chairman but Guy Askham was Financial Director. LM had persuaded KK to consider joining Saints, but it was GA who sorted out a satisfactory package.
Branfoot was obviously a mistake, but he had been a coach at Saints under LM.
What sum did GA make? Do you know? SLH shares have never been worth a fortune and his small holding would not have been worth that much. What good would it have done Saints, or GA, if he had held onto them - they are worthless now. I have never heard GA openly support or oppose RL. Perhaps as former Chairman he felt he should stay out of all the arguments. No, I don't understand the hatred and vilification of the people who made the Club what it was in the 70's and 80's - it's hardly been that good since!
