  1. Once the knife has been inserted, and you can see the grimace on his face, twist it!!!
  2. That's what it reminded me of too. Our away colours should always be yellow shirts and blue shorts. And whilst I love our r&w stripes, I quite like the idea of a one off 'sash' home shirt this year.
  3. I had exactly the same thought when I first read the article, but still think it will be sponsor free.
  4. Damn! I thought this was going to be a thread about Saints Web taking over them down the M27.
  5. Surely it's an illegitimate word. (And I find it hard to believe that this response had not been posted sooner.)
  6. Belarus, of course. Poland or Ukraine would be good too.
  7. Swindon did the double over us so IMO they deserve to go up more than the other 2. Also, I don't want it to be Charlton as that would mean both of the teams to come down with us went straight back up. (Plus I think Charlton will be a lot weaker next season if they don't get promoted, and we outplayed them 3 times this season.)
  8. Mark Hughes has a slightly higher points per game ratio at 1.57 compared to AP's 1.56 Alan Pardew has a slightly higher win ratio of 43.79% compared to MH's 42.35% Of course, AP has a lot more experience as a manager, managing twice as many clubs for almost twice as many matches than MH has done. Crucially, for me, AP has led teams to promotion from lower leagues. MH has not. Also, if AP is replaced (by anyone) the new man would want his own coaches, players and system. Thus, IMO, leading to another slow start to the season. We need stability; we need Alan Pardew to continue building the club as he has been doing.
  9. Please explain, exactly, ow the JPT cost us promotion. You could start by mentioning which players picked up injuries/suspensions during JPT games which mean they missed certain league matches which we subsequently lost but cxertainly would not have done had they played (in your mind). Please, please, explain this to me because I have heard this assertation before but no one has thus far backed this up with any hard evidence.
  10. Have a great summer guys.
  11. Penalty Saints. Sir Rickie's chance to get 30 goals for US this season......... and....... it's in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. 15 mins to go for us and the Pirates to score at least one more goal each.
  13. And that's why we let Matt Paterson go.........
  14. Get in there Rickie!!!!!!!
  15. Ha, ha...dirty Leeds 1-0 down with 10 men
  16. I wish (mind you, it's cheap enough anyway - £2.50 a bottle). Weather update: thunder and lightening has commenced. Oh, and here waigo, here waigo, here waigo.... papa on for 2nd half.
  17. I spoke too soon with my weather report. Just been on the balcony and seen storm clouds on their way. Oh well, it won't stop the flow of vodka!
  18. Sorry for going off-topic with the above post Warm and sunny here, about to pour my first vodka of the evening
  19. Ricky shoots wide from free-kick
  20. Good to hear 'One Alan Pardew' being sung.
  21. I think he has an ankle injury. He hasn't trained all week.
  22. What Sid said!
  23. Maybe I am being thick, or maybe it's the alcohol, but........ They are going to liquidate the owning company in 9 months time? This is half way through next season. Therefor..... In order to get their 'Golden Share' for next season surely they have to first pay off all outstanding football debts? 38m? Or take a points deduction? Or, if they are allowed to start the start the season, surely they will have a transfer embargo if they have football related debts (ala Bournmouth) which means not even being allowed to sign players on loan. Seeing as they will pretty much have to off-load most of their current squad, what kind of team would they field next season? How few of the phew will pay to watch such a team getting stuffed every week? How will they then be able to pay the agreed 20% in £? And then, given the mess they are in, I have no doubt any investigation into the former company would result in finding financial irregularities. Weren't Swindon once relegated a division (or 2?) for such things? In summary, even if their plan does come to fruition, they should still be royally screwed. Thoughts?????
  24. To my mind, surely the question(s) should be: What was the level of debt at the time the WUO was issued? (Aren't directors responsible for debt accrued after this date?) Or What was the debt at the time PCFC entered administation? (Aren't the administrators responsible for debt after this time?) As you can see, I have no idea as to the correct legal implications of the above. Yet I still feel that the full £138m (yet another increase of around £17m) shouldn't be the actual figure being worked on for the CVA. I hope the HMRC get many of these debts removed from the overall figure and thus ensure their 25%.
