  1. And I thought I was the only one having this problem. Grrrrrrrr............
  2. I only switched it on at the beginning of the 2nd half but it worked absolutely fine. Didn't cut out once.
  3. Exactly! An excellent piece of business. I hope he proves to be as good as he sounds/looks in the clips.
  4. And maybe more of the family will now come to love the club as Markus did.
  5. Indeed, there may or may not be a trust fund. If there were one I don't think NC would come out and say so (it would just put up the transfer prices and wage demands of players). However, one other thought, the Liebherr family as a whole are far, far, wealthier than Markus was on his own. A great statement, all in all, given recent (very sad) events.
  6. Cup win 76 - In my lounge surrounded by my family and numerous friends of my dad. Will always remember one of said friends (Ron) was having a leak when the goal went in. He thought we staged the cheer to wind him up. Keegan signed - Found out when I got home from school. Saints put the sixth past Man Utd when Egil scored- screaming like a loony in the West stand. St Marcus passes away - Saw it on the OS when doing my daily check to see if we had signed a new player. Special moments - In the archers watching Shearer score his debut hat-trick against the Arse; Mark dennis being shown a red card as he was being carried off the pitch, unconscious, on a stretcher; in the Milton for Keegan's best goal that never was; in the Milton for the 8-2 win over Cov.
  7. Totally stunned at this very sad news. RIP Markus. Thank you for everything. My thoguhts and prayers go out to your family. P.S. Go and have a nice long chat with Ted when you get 'upstairs'.
  8. I never understand those who, when a cup draw is being made, want Saints to be away to a big team (so that they get to see THEIR stadium, THEIR stars, and us knocked out). I also don't understand those who always wish for us to get the Skates, especially when they are in higher leagues. Personally, I ALWAYS want us to be drawn at home against the weakest possible opposition. So in this case, Skates it is then.
  9. Adam lalanaaaaaaaaaa
  10. Good to hear such words about our club and our players. As for those ex-pats..... :vuvu:
  11. On behalf on the ex-pats, thanks very much! (Any other links to streams would also be greatly appreciated, just in case.)
  12. I thin the biggest problem with our forward line at the moment is which one of Rickie, Barnard or Connolly is going to be peed off at being left on the bench tomorrow. We have 3 very good forwards for this league, of which we only play with 2 (or sometimes 1). Of course I would like to see another 'big guy' come in as cover for Rickie and I honestly do believe that will happen, but maybe only as a loanee. Don't panick - there are still 3 weeks left of the transfer window; and then the loan window opens up. I am 100% confident that if one of the 3 picks up any serious injury we would bring someone else in.
  13. Game on! COYHMRC!!!!!!!
  14. It was a cop-out of an answer because two of the questions were regarding your (and others') personal opinion and not those of AP/NC. And what is 'the likes of me'? I get to see about as many matches at SMS each season as you do. I live further away from Southampton than you do. I am also certainly out of touch with lower league players, but I feel I could give an opinion on some (potential) transfer targets by researching on the web. Then there are other (rumoured) targets (such as Tyson) who I feel I have seen enough times in the flesh/on TV to have a valid opinion of. Anyway, it's a free world and your choice not to debate anything which you do not wish to on a forum. However, if someone (not just you, anyone in general) keeps posting on a certain topic then (I feel) their view is deemed more credible if they debate and answer reasonable questions when asked them.
  15. LOL. Cop out of an answer, unsurprisingly. But still doesn't stop you answering questions 3 and 4 (although, as you are of the opine we should have signed players it would be nice to hear who think they should have been).
  16. Good post. I notice that Professor, Alpine, et al, who are bemoaning our lack of players signed thus far have avoided answering a few questions put to them on here. Namely: 1. What players, do you think, have we missed out on who have signed for other L1 teams? 2. Which, realistic, players do you think we could have already signed? 3. Would you rather we did a Poopy and signed some decent players on inflated wages who would most likely not play when everyone is fit/available (living beyond our means) or would you rather we had an inflated squad of averages players (as when we were relegated from the prem)? 4. Do you honestly not think it sensible to wait until the right player (one who will definitely improve the team and squad and who will be of CC quality when we are promoted) becomes available or that it is a much better idea to just anyone available in order to give the squad more depth?
  17. Hopefully it is merely of case of not taking a chance with players carrying slight knocks for a match which has no real meaning. Would you rather have Rickie, Punch and Morgan playing today or next Saturday?
  18. Methinks some people would be better off supporting Citeh or Chelski! I'm sure it would make perfect sense to spend loads of money on top quality players who would be sat on the bench, or in the reserves, if everyone were fit. You never know, it could even lead to another administration. Or do these people not want expensive, class, players but just a huge squad of mediocre ones? Similar to the situation when we were relegated from the prem? In the OS' case thus is quite possible as I seem to remember he backed everything Woopert did!
  19. Maybe it was Dean Wilkins and he something that reminded him of Ray's playing days? (i.e. 90% of his passes were backwards or sideways.) Not that this is a bad thing mind, as they did all go to team-mates with room to play the ball forwards. Plus, he does seem to be a decent ball winner.
  20. I'm pretty sure that's a new rule for the PL this year this year (obviously following what happened to Poorsmiff) but am not sure about the FL. One would have thought not, as clearly there is no guarantee of Poopy even starting the season let alone finishing it!
  21. I would be happier if Bart signed a new contract, but probably better than Forecast.

    Weddings

Mrs Minsk and I did something very similar to that which Baj suggested. We met when both working in Cyprus. As that time was coming to a close we had decided to get married but working out where to do it was problematic. No way would we have got visas for all her family and friends to go to the UK. My family would have complained like hell if we had got married in Belarus (and the visas. flights, hotels, etc would have cost a fortune). So we decided, a few weeks before we due to leave Cyprus, to just get married there and then tell everyone about it afterwards. I had some complaints (notably my mother) but pointed out that I had saved them money as they didn't even have to buy so much as a wedding card for us. At the end of the day we were very happy with our decision.
  23. I also see that as being the top 5. Unsure at the moment whether to go for Brighton or Charlton for the 6th spot.
  24. Any news on the court date yet? I'm sure Lampitt said, 3 days ago, that it would be announced in the next 24 hours.
