Don't flatter yourself princess, I have no agenda against you. I have also made other posts on here completely on topic, but as usual you will only respond to those posts which will most likely illicit a response and will ignore everything else.

You mean the one that Iain McInnes said would be up on the web-site 'later today' during his web-chat on Friday? I am as amazed as you are that it hasn't appeared yet; especially given the new 'transparent' era they are now in!!

If you could get one play in now who would it be? Realistic options

Shawcross is 25, so fits perfectly. CBs don't usually peak until late 20's. -
Far more tragic AND more Saints related!! Might even appeal to Turkish as Liverpool related too.

Shawcross would be my first choice, but think he might go to a bigger club this summer. Lescott would be 2nd choice, but don't think we would meet his wage demands. Astori may be a possibility. Micah Richards could offer cover for CB and RB, but not sure about him as a first choice. Basically, if we could only fill one position whilst keeping the squad we have now, I would go for a CB. As I would have done in January. Quite why we signed Forren then is beyond me, given his lack of appearances thus far. I only hope that after a pre-season with us he turns out to be one of our best players next season. -
Absolutely this!!! Justice will be when those who were responsible for the actual tragedy AND for the subsequent cover-up are doing time.
-
Nope, wrong - again! 1st thought on this thread (as can be seen from that which I posted) was, yes it was a tragedy. 2nd thought was, the 96 deserve justice. 3rd thought was, damn Turkish has paid his fiver; it was so pleasant on here when he only had three posts a day. 4th thought was, as per usual Turkish doesn't give a flying one about forum protocol.

So the 'provocation' for the pitch invasion was a chant of 'That's why you're going down; 2-1 and you ferked it up'. Yep, real provocation that. (rolly eyed thingy)
-
How do you know what my first thoughts today were? I had many thoughts before posting on this thread.
-
It was an enormous tragedy and there should be justice for the 96. But how is this Saints related?
-
Yes because, as you predicted, Adkins failed to get us promoted from L1 and from the Championship and had us in the bottom three of the PL all season. He was also constantly tactically found out by better and more experienced managers (especially last season) - despite keeping us in the top 2 all season - and completely lost the dressing room within months of being appointed (as was evidenced by back to back promotions).
-
This is still my all time favourite Saints shirt, so would love it to make a comeback. And if only we could finish 2nd again while wearing it............ (by the way, NO, I don't think there is the remotest possibility of this happening...)
-
BWP stole the points from Poortsmuff. Who would've thought it?
-
Thanks guys, saved me the bother of typing. Fully agree with both.

Had a thought last night watching the Spuds match: IF we are switching to Adidas and IF we are going to have something completely different from before, how about a variation of the Basel shirt - red and white halves? (Don't a clue how to mock one up but here is a pic of their red/blue halves) http://www.fcb.ch/media/Neue_News_Bilder_201011/XL_Bilder/IMG_4880.jpg

IMO, the minimum we need to sign is: Boruc, or another top class 'keeper An outstanding, top notch, CB A good ball playing DM to rotate with Morgan and Cork (plus allow Cork to be used as cover for RB, which could also allow Clyne to be the cover at LB) A good, fast, attacking player able to play on either flank (would love Lens, as then he could also be used as a central attacking option/cover)
-
I'm sure he is 'buzzing'. Liquidation would have meant him losing his compromise agreement. Whereas, there is now almost a 20% chance of him eventually seeing a percentage of the salary the club agreed to pay him when he signed.

Not me, but I wish it was. Fantastic!!
-
Wheelie bin? Soggy cardboard box more like!!
-
Yes, everyone has their time - even Poch. And I hope he doesn't grumble if his eventual replacement is casing Saints for months beforehand while waiting to give NC the nod that he is ready to take over.
-
As above, with the addition that I still really haven't taken to Poch. He still feels a bit like a sympathy sh*g, albeit a decent one, after having broken up with a long term lover and soul mate. It won't stop me from supporting Saints with all my heart, but I doubt I will ever feel a great affinity towards him; or will ever bring myself to sing his name.

My parents used to live in Benidorm, so did it a couple of times. Ferry to Cherbourg then drove drove down to 'Pamiers' (or Pam Ayres, as I always call it) just past Toulose in one day (about 10 hours driving) then across the Pyrenees near Andorra and on to Benidorm the next. In winter, when there is a likelihood of snow about, it was worth going a bit further to Perpignan, for the night stop-over. My brother goes over almost every year. He usually catches the ferry to Bilbao, has a mini-cruise, and drives down through Spain. The motorways in both countries are decent enough, but have many toll stops (a pain in the arse when on your own in a right hand drive!!)

Really? What makes you say this? Have you forgotten how much Leicester and Wet Spam spent during the summer before last season? We were far from favourites for promotion, let alone winning the title.
