I bet they don't give full details of the take over deal; such as add-ons and charges on assets.

With the formation we play, there is only a requirement to have one of each on the pitch at any one time. Just saying. (Although, of course, more than one could be on the pitch at the same time but playing in a different position other than one designated to them on that site. Similarly, other players not designated as a striker (or goalkeeper, even) could play in that (those) position(s).) (Just saying.)

I don't think you clicked on the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22247838 Did you?

Current form table has 4th from top and the Baggies 4th from the bottom. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html Should win this one.

For those who think we won't get another point, here is the current form table: http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html We are 4th - only Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are in better form than us at the moment. As for the OP, I agree that it will be between these 2 (although I would prefer Stoke to go down). I think it will be a close call, and probablt decided on the last match of the season. To be honest, I would rather Wigan stayed up. I haven't liked Villa since the 80's.

No they aren't. I know of one lad who only signed a contract with them (well, his parent's did) last Thursday. When they told me the news I asked them this exact same question. Oh, both parents and the boy are avid Saints fans - season ticket holders too. Saints didn't offer him an academy contract, the Skates did. (I did accuse the parents of child abuse, but they assure me that if Saints ever make a move for their son he will be off to Staplewood like a shot!!)

Yep, thought he had a decent game.
-
Would love him to come to us. Exactly the player we need alongside Maya. However, I sincerely doubt will sign him. He will go to a bigger (and expected to finish next season higher) club than us. Probably Spuds, Arsenal or Everton.

A decent game to watch; draw the fairest result. Good performances from Cork (my MoM), Boruc, Maya and Clyne (mostly for his attacking abilities).
-
Strangely, I was thinking about this the other day. So, good thread! I think it would be a very close run match. Obviously, the English team have the much better attack whilst the 'others' have a better defence (well, CBs anyway). Tellingly, I also think the 'others' would have the better of it in CM. Morgan and Davis are a better pair than Cork and JWP. Also, Cork would have to sit very deep to protect the weak CBs thus ceding MF. However, the English lot would control the flanks. So, England to win on penalties after a hard fought draw.

Excellent news!!!

I really can't be bothered to go and look for it, but I am certain some time ago Farmery was saying they would fight the point deduction and he was sure the -10 would be rescinded. Now he is saying they accepted it all along. Sounds like the same old lying, cheating, P*mpey to me.
-
Also, I think that result was harsh on Wigan. They deserved to get something from that match. But, hey-ho, that's football.
-
I agree. As I posted earlier, I am 100% sure Wigan will not catch us and I would much rather see Villa or Stoke go down (or Sunderland for that matter).
-
Kompany just saved Citeh's arses with an excellent tackle, in the box, on Kone.
-
I think Wigan are playing quite well and should be in front by now. To be honest, although I know it best for us if they lose, part of me wants Wigan to win this. I really don't think they will catch us now regardless, and I would far rather see Villa, Sunderland or Stoke go down.

Fantastic!! I'm going to nick this too!!

Thanks!! This the script I put with it on my fb page: I would like to extend my most heartfelt congratulations to Portsmouth Football Club on achieving yet another notable first for English football league clubs. Following Oldham's victory last night, Portsmouth will become the first ever club to receive Premier League parachute payments whilst competing in the 4th tier of English football (Division 2). I expect the Skate fans to sing about this loud and proud, alongside their boasts of: being the first (and thus far only) Premier League team to enter administration; being the only English football team to exit administration having agreed a CVA yet fail to pay a single of penny of that CVA. So, my fishy friends, enjoy division four next season - hopefully starting on -10 for the failed CVA. I am confident that from now on Saints will be: always above Pompey - next season - 3 leagues above them. WHAT APT SPONSORS WE HAVE!!!!!! And yes, being ex-RN and having served a lot of that time in Skateville I do have rather a few Skate fans as fb 'friends'.

Good post Sid, especially the stuff in bold. However, I don't think it nearing the end just yet. At least, I really hope it isn't; I'm not usually vindictive but (where the Skates are concerned) I hope they still have a long way to fall yet. I would certainly find it far more amusing for them to fall out of the football league, or even into liquidation, under their so called 'fan ownership'.

Hope you don't mind if I borrow this excellent picture!!

A toss-up between Forecast and Pulis for me. Both are far worse than many other players mentioned above, some of whom at least put in one or two decent performances in their time with us.
-
Knowing they were down was one thing, seeing this just makes it even better. WTFILN!!!!!!!!!

I like it, a lot!!
