Purely out of curiosity, how many times did you see him play last season?
-
I think Lovren will be the Killer to Maya's Claus. We then have Jos and Jose has back-up. I also think JRod will have a good season. And, of course, we have SRL - but nobody else worthwhile up front. So, given the choice Alpine set and the system we are likely to play, I would go for a striker.

PRE-SEASON: Schalke 04 vs Southampton - (18:00 KO)
Minsk replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Kick-off time on OP is local time. 1700 in UK. (1900 in Belarus). From Saints official facebook page: Saints take on German giants FC Schalke 04 in the Austrian town of Villach this evening, with the game kicking off at 6pm local time/5pm BST. -
A 25 man squad with ideally 2 for each position - who are they at present?

As happened last year. Let's hope they are sold/released/sent on season long loans before the list needs to be finalised. -

Should something happen to Clyne I would think Jack Cork would be used at RB as we have enough other cover in DM. -
I think it could be worth our while putting a cheeky bid in for Cisse from Newcastle.
-
Good post. The highlighted bit is what I would like to see this coming season too.
-
I spent the best part of the past few weeks in Eastleigh/Southampton. Only saw about 4 new kits being worn in all that time. None of my friends and relatives who usually buy the new kit as soon as it goes on sale have bought it.
-
Thanks for that. An interesting read.

Germany, Poland and Belarus!! Or, you could go the southern route and use Ukraine instead of Belarus. Or, you could do the Baltic route and go through Lithuania and Latvia (and even Estonia, if you wanted) after Poland. In other words, when trying to be a smart arse, get your facts right right lofty!!!

I reserved opinion until I had seen it in the shop and tried it on. Now that I have, I can safely say it is terrible. The away strip is also a dissapointment in the flesh. On the bright side, I will save myself £100 this season.

I can't remember, is Kitson one of the players they still owe money too?
-
I know you love to slate him, but Guly does work quite hard; tracking back, putting tackles in, etc. I think Leicester is more likely though.
-
Would be very happy if we could recoup some money for him, as I don't see him featuring much next season. Whilst I am not one of the Guly haters, Ditto the above (although he could figure more than SDR).
-
Whoever it is, we won't win We hardly ever win our first match of the season. So I hope something like Man Utd away; but I'm going for: West Ham at home.
-
I like this
-
Agree. I wish we had bought him a couple of years ago.
-
Palarse it is then. To be fair they were probably the better team on the day. Zaha by far the best player. Just a shame that Phillips scored the winner to get Holloway and Skate Ward promoted. Anyway, that's 6 points I can feel coming our way next season.

I have a mate whose daughter was in one of these mags and he was so proud he e-mailed me a link to the mag and sent me photos. I thought that was a bit strange. I will try to dig out the link (or a pic) later, when I have more time.

Really can't argue with much there and would be very happy if all those transfers came to pass.
-
1 goal in 38 appearances last season, and that was his first match of the season in a cup game against Derby that finished 5-5. Oh, and his total transfer fees amass to an amazing nothing throughout his career. Every move has been a free transfer. A major coup by the Skates to get him in!
-
The difference being: these predictions were made before a ball was kicked; Lawrenson continued to predict loses for Swansea and wins for QPR throughout the entire season.
-
No he didn't. When asked where he thought QPR would get the points from to reach 37 he told the reporter that he (the reporter) was bonkers if he thought it would take anywhere near 37 points to stay up.
