Yes. Did the predictor and had us just staying up on 36.

Spot on!!!
-
Well said. I, too, must have missed said blog!!

Pretty sure Reeves is on loan until the end of the season. Hopefully, he will even get a game at Wembley. Most certainly, if he was back and available he would have played. He was in the first team squad earlier in the season so well up the pecking order of the reserves (as it used to be called). As for Martin, yes he is over 21 but certainly part of the 'development squad' as it is also referred. Forren is over 21 and played last night; Barnard, Seaborne, Jonno Quick, et al are all also over 21 and played many times for the U21s - so yes, to me, Martin does count.

Ben Reeves? Aaron Martin?

Could a kindly mod please delete all the bowlocks about whether or not Saints were likely to be liquidated. Some of you think we were; others have a differing opinion. WE GET THAT!!!!! Nick, CB, Jack, Hypo, et al, if you really want to argue the toss on this please create a new thread in which to do so. You may not have realised it but this thread is about discussing the Skates and their numerous takeovers! Rant over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. If my memory serves correctly, Camara was brought in (on loan) with some of the money we got for the sale of Beattie.

This. Good post. I am also very p!ssed off that we didn't stuff Henry's lot yesterday. In fact, to me, it is virtually unforgivable that Pochettino failed to give us that victory.
-
Last time I checked QPR were below us. They now have better goal difference and are 3 points better off. Yesterday was a great opportunity to put a nail in their (QPR's) coffin and to give ourselves some breathing space. Instead, the result could well be their trigger to put a good run together (they have some very winnable games coming up; which means they could get out of trouble (I don't think they will though). Yesterday is one game that we REALLY needed to and should have won. Not only because we were at home to the team rock bottom of the table but because of who their manager is! In any event, it wasn't just the terrible result but the abysmal performance which worries me.
-
Which is the second reason why I was so hacked off with yesterday's performance and result. The first being because, out of all our games, I really wanted us to destroy Saggy's lot.

I don't get this 'fire hazard' thing. How are they going to catch fire? The whole stadium is a no smoking area. Are there often naked flames in SMS? Come on, own up, which of you like to light scented candles in your seats? It's like asking everybody to remove their clothes as they are a fire hazard....... ffs.

He was on the bench a few times when he first came. Since then.......... Heard a rumour he was injured, but seen nothing official.
-
I think some of you are in for a shock next weekend. I can see us losing, again!!
-
We were dire yesterday. Our best player was one forced onto the pitch (JRod) because of an injury to Lallana. Have't seen anything to convince me Pochettino has what it takes to be a successful manager in the PL. (The win against Citeh was lucky, secured with a cracking OG from Barry.) Adkins had us going in the right direction; we are now going backwards. Under MP: P6 W1 D2 L3 - 5 points from a possible 18, or 0.83 ppg in the previous 6 matches under NA - W1 D4 L1 - 7 points from 18, or 1.16 ppg - better than under MP in the reverse fixtures - W2 D0 L4 - 6 points from 18, or 1.0 ppg - better than under MP (and with a lesser squad, still adapting to life in the PL).

Taking it purely on that face value it may loo as if it adds up, but............... What about ongoing running costs? They have very little income yet have to fund wages, pay bills, tax, etc, until the start of the next season - 5 months. How are they going to manage to do that? Oh yes, forgot, silly me, this is PFC we are talking about - they don't pay bills, tax, etc.......... Edit - oh, and the 2m floating charge? PKF fees? Legal fees? Kanu case? etc?
-
I watched the match last night. If it hadn't been for Jaaskelainen there would have been a rugby score. Having said that though, it did take another late Bale wonder strike to seal the win. I think, unfortunately, they will be safe - I just hope we finish above them.
-
Excellent news!! He has improved immensely this season. In fact, I would have him as player of the season for us so far.
-
"The PST bid, backed by fans who have committed at least £1,000 each", That bit is very wrong, the majority have committed way less than a grand; 'knobhead factless Neil' and his workmates for example!
-
From that article: 'Surely a better use of a spare £3m would be to buy Fratton Park - which is what the PST bid proposes - rather than spending out unnecessary money on renting a stadium which can be owned from Day One?' Just one possible little problem with that statement Micah, what if a judge were to say that FP is worth more than 3m? I guess we will find out soon........... Edit: damn, beaten to it........ great minds and all that, Joe.......

IF we stay up I would love Boruc to sign an extended deal. I would also love it if we signed Cesar (who, IMO, has been THE best 'keeper in the Prem this season) as I doubt he will want to play in the Champ with QPR next season.
-
Indeed, yet more bending of the rules by the phew!!!
-
Does anyone know exactly how many loanees the Skates have had this season? Because I'm pretty sure the football league state: 53.2.4 A Club can have a maximum of 4 Players under 23 and a further 4 Players over 23 on a Standard Loan during any Season. The deadline for determining a Player's age in this respect shall be 30 June prior to the Season in which the Standard Loan is intended to take place. Surely they must have used their 8 (4 x under 23 and 4 x over 23) by now???

WTF?? So, if you saw a fellow male Saints fan attack a woman (with or without a child her arms) you would not do anything to assist her in seeking justice (with help from the police)? If you would really do nothing to bring such a lowlife to justice then you are not only less than a man but less than a human being, imho.
