  1. Well Lambert has stayed for a season, as his first cap was before the season started? But other than that Le Tiss?
  2. Well if Liverpool are going to move onto other targets the turn the bid down. They are acting like it's our last chance otherwise we will miss out on selling like that's a bad thing! If that's the way the board are acting then **** me we are screwed. Seems like a great chance to play hardball here. But guess not...
  3. My sentiment exactly!
  4. The thing I don't get - RK said two days ago the new manager will be consulted on all tranfers. We don't have to sell etc.. Then this happens. It's pretty poor timing and sorry but does currently make them look like mugs. They really have to pull out a good managerial appointment and re-invest all the money + what the kitty would have been to make this look any good!
  5. This unfortuantly. Coupled with all the interviews from the players recently. As I said was very positive, but it's hard to be now. For me Lambert was the heart of the team, more so than Lallana due to his rise up the leagues and proving he can do it on a big stage. Then to be topped off by being a saint at the WC. Yesterday I was excited about the WC today I'm stuggling to give a flying ****!
  6. Yep - there seems to be nothing holding the club or the team together. I was very positive about everything, and would have been had we not started selling before we had a manager in! I think that's the key and where everything has gone wrong. They could have said to Lambert - yes we'll let you go but jsut wait for a new manager then we won't stand in your way. It's not ****ing difficult! I believe he would have given the club that
  7. I think I would be less worried if these players were being sold after we annouced a new Manager! As people have said you cannot begrudge him his move, but it's more the timing of this after what RK said. "Any transfers that take place will be under our terms. We will decide the terms to potential transfers in and out of the club. "We will involve the manager. That is important for everybody to know. That's why we have been able to not agree to any transfers to date, because we have control of the situation, and anybody who is saying anything else doesn't understand that we are in a strong position with the Saints."
  8. I was thinking when RK said it two days ago? Or maybe he didn't confirm it to that extent
  9. It does seem a lot of money for a 32 year old who at times seemed to struggle last year... As I said on another thread, it all depends what happens to the money and which manager we get in. if we get a good manager and they get all this money + more then that's a good sign of intent! However I am wondering now... It does make the statement of no offers on the table look rather stupid!
  10. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/9331421/premier-league-southampton-striker-rickie-lambert-set-to-have-medical-at-liverpool sky reporting fee agreed
  11. For me it depends what happens to the money - that will be the telling sign. If it's ploughed back in for new players then that's very different if it dissapears.
  12. So far a deal has been agreed for shaw and lallana. However that certainly isn't the case. Ok they might leave but not yet at least. So why couldn't this be the same. We can only hope!
  13. OK now they have just mentioned it. But they said Liverpool want him rather than are set to sign him
  14. Interestingly I've been watching sky sports news for 20 minutes and there has been no mention of this. Normally they are the first to jump on rumours like this?
  15. They have said there are no contracts on the table and we do not need to sell out players. If a player wants to leave i don't see much we can do about that other than sell on our terms, as they have stated.
  16. I think the key with Dodd and Williams was why they were let go. Until we know that it's very hard to comment on it?
  17. I think we could do a lot worse! Also think we could do worse than Tim Sherwood, however I think we could also do better!
  18. Hopefully we'll get someone good in and fast! And hopefully they knew this was coming for a couple of weeks and have been searching hard alreay... Well we can hope right...? I'll reserve judgement until they announce a replacement
  19. This! Personally I think this is a good existance. If/when we sell players, get a good price and re-invest it wisely. Then with the academy we should generally have a good team in the coming years.
  20. Also think about Lallana and how much he's come on lately! I don't know how people can right players off at 20. Some players develop earlier and later than others.
  21. As there is ongoing legal action, I'm tempted to think that this is more than a footballing matter?
  22. That would suggest someone high profile, as he's unsure on why they have been sacked?
  23. I understood that as they are not first team players, rather than first team staff? Could also mean they are people who work upstairs, or in offices? I guess it could be a shock story if they have done something wrong, rather than because it's someone we know
  24. Poch being sacked would be a shock - but can't see it...
  25. Behind the scenes makes it sound like it would be someone else...? Maybe board members or Les Reed?
