This is the thing with this forum, some people say one thing and others say something else, but yet everyone gets quoted the same... All season we have had a squad which rivals the other mid table teams. I think we have a stronger starting 11 than the rest, but our squad is a similar level. Now to push on for next season we do the same as we did last summer and make 2 or 3 top signings mixed with our youth players and then our squad will be strengthened again

Pretty much agree with the abov I think as a squad we are looking as good as any other mid table team. You just need to look at some of the mone spent in January to see that you are paying way over the odds. By waiting for the summer we have a much better chance of assessing and getting the targets we want rather than panic buys. As i said on another thread, the only player I would have been interested in was Zaha on loan with a view to permanant if he was good enough.
-
The only one I thought was maybe Zaha. Showed a lot of potential previoulsy but has been left to rot at Man Utd! But it's hard to know how he'll adapt to prem football. He would have been far better staying put at Palace!

Parking back to 30 minutes FOC for the ticket office and shop

I heard we missed out on a few because they had to pay to park while they signed their contract and due to only being paid after signing the contract they couldn't afford the parking... -

Seems quite a few things have changed.... Ex-saints welcome at st Marys, old/unused players allowed to leave, parking charges dropped. Maybe KL wasn't happy with the way things were done by NC and wants the fans to be happier?! -
Seesm to be a effort at the moment to offload the players knocking around? I wonder if this has anything to do with the recent strcutural changes?

And if I remember rights they were all before xmas, he had a very good spell. Unfortunatly since then he went off the boild a little with his goal return. But that's mainly due to not getting enough game time in my opinion. He normally only plays for 10/15 minutes for the last 2 1/2 years...
-
As others have said, the impression I get is this is the last straw, but that's just my opinion!

I think it's important to have a club with a premier league standard ground which is also big enough. That way you don't need to spend money on it, much the same way with us. Also I think training facilites and youth set up play a big part as well...

This seems to be probably the fairest and most unbiased article I've read so far. Only in the coming weeks and months we'll see what the plans for SFC are. In my opinion I hope one of two outcomes happen, and at present it's hard to know which one would be better. 1) Kathrina keeps hold of us and and appoints a new CEO and things continue as they currently are. Poch buys into the future as he has done before and we continue on a steady path while doing what we have done best. The same infrastruture is continually expanded and not a lot changes on the face of it. Possibly the club might be more open and friendly to certain divisions that it is previously alienated. 2) We are sold to a group fronted by Cortese and again we continue as we currently have been. I, personally, do not wish to have billions pumped into the club like City and Chelsea. While it has worked for them it has gone wrong at so many other clubs. I think careful management and investment is the way forward, and it has treated us so well up until now. The investment in the youth is the centre of what we are trying to achieve and something teams like Chelsea seem to forget about.

because it would then suggest nothing has changed and not likely to leave at the end of the season
-
Maybe he'll announce a new contract? This would probably explain why there had been no such discussions in the previous few months!

Really wish the guy all the best and a full recovery! Looks like there was a great response from everyone involved from what I could see. Not an easy task at all! However am I the only person who thought with a situation this serious the game should be put on hold? Just seemed taking the guy out at full time made it a very difficult situation indeed! Which makes their job even more impressive in my opinion!
-
I'd go with this... For me it's make or break for Ramirez. He's got a chance in the next few games with so many injuries. Same with Cork as well. There are a few players who have an option to really show what they are worth to the team.
-
Surely they would likely try to cash in on him in January depending how their season is going, and whether they can get a replacement in

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24907635 Lallana starting it would seem with Rodriguez and Lambert on the bench? Although looks like Lambert is going to get some game time....

Wasn't that what has kept him out last couple of games?

But next years TV income isn't a guaranteed source of income. I was under the impression that the loans the company provide to Premier League teams were against guaranteed income. Which woud suggest a loan for the rest of this years TV income? I would be interested to see something that suggests otherwise. I'm not saying it's not out there, just I personally havn't seen it!
-
The wiki article suggests that they lend against guaranteed income, so I think it would be against TV money, rather than relying us to finish in a certain place?
-
Also I'm under the impression that TV money is paid throughout the year and no in one lump sum, so this wouldn't mean spending next years TV money if it was to cover until we receive this years money. And with the new training ground extention would make sense? As it seemed the last one was possibly for the new dome that needed building?

Your favourite Saints players that weren't popular?
jayrivers replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Always gave 100%. I just remember when he smashed up his mouth towards the end of a game going for a head. Iirc he need several teeth replaced and numerous stitches? -
Yeh but that striker needs 3 attacking midfielders/wide men/inside forwards etc... which is where we are lacking at the moment!
-
Assume there will be quite a few changes at half time and in the second half?
-
I feel we are so close to being a really good team! Heading in the right direction and one or two more signings this window and think we are going to be looking at a great season!
