  1. Why's that Bradley?
  2. This thread is the mongboard version of kissing the badge when you score.
  3. If someone had told me I'd finish my football supporting career with Southampton in the premier league I'd have bitten their hand off. I can't see my future anywhere else.
  4. An excellent interview and it's pretty evident from the confident delivery les is fully in control of the situation and looking forward to continuing the upward trajectory he has been masterminding since his arrival at st Mary's. I like him quietly spoken yet calm and firm demeanour. I am beginning to think I can see the need for Ian Brennan to get his tool kit out.
  5. This rumour is nothing to do with me!
  6. chim chiminee chim chininee chim chim chim cherooo Poch was a saint now he's a Jew.
  7. You forget the only dining at the top table Brett does is taking the captain his sausages.
  8. Cortese wasn't 'playing hardball' he was being a c*nt. He tried to make Adkins resign to avoid paying S****horpe compensation, the honourable man that he is he refused to as he wanted things to be done correctly as we had approached S****horpe. If difference between playing hardball and trying to screw people over.
  9. As the new Alex Ferguson and the next great English manager it was inevitable that One of the worlds greatest clubs would have snapped him up sooner rather than later,
  10. What are the other things it could be then Brett? I mean its been claimed a lot on here that he quit because Kat refused to fund his champions league push, yet a £50m kitty is more than he'd had he last two summers.
  11. So the comments about the 'difficult financial position we have inherited' weren't a clue?
  12. What was it to do with then, underperformance on the playing side?
  13. You just don't get it do yo Brett. Go and peel some potatoes
  14. Have we got more than one of each of those then?
  15. What's going to happen to his personal lift now?
  16. Exactly. You'd think he'd probably start 15 games a season what with the injuries, suspensions, cup games and league games against so called lesser clubs, with sub appearances maybe 30 appearances a season. That's probably about what you can expect from a 33 year old in the premier league these days.
  17. Jesus Christ. He was asked a question by a saints fan who runs this forum at a q&a along the lines of given the amount of Southampton players linked with Liverpool was he concearned they were stock piling English talents. That was his answer.he wasn't speculating he was answering a direct question from a saints fan about saints and Liverpool.
  18. It was our own Steve Grant who asked Hodgson that question at a Q&A in Miami.
  19. This is true about the site plans! I know one of the site team too and he told me that one. Another classic was NC refusing to wear any safety gear on site, saying when asked too "I am paying for this. I will wear what I want" people can say what they want but knowing someone who worked on the project pretty much from start to finish in a management role I was told some of the goings on and why the cost escalated so much, also that NC was 'an absolute c*nt' carry on dismissing it as made up from someone with an agenda though
  20. I thought you said you had me on ignore?
  21. Good to see the latest excuse being trotted out that the original design was done when we were in league one, so therefore assuming it's be league one standard but now in the premier league we need a premier league training ground. Ignoring the fact the plan was to be in the premier league within 5 years so the original design would have been based on that plan of being a premier league club.
  22. One significant difference is Tottenham training ground was brand new. Ours was already there. So they built a new ground at a new location in a more expensive part of the country for the same or a bit more, depending on what you read, than it cost is to refurbish one that was already there. And still some people persist that it's the cortese haters peddling a myth that it was massively over budget as part of their agenda
  23. You think "small detail changes" made the cost of the building work went from £15m to £30m?! That's a good one even by your standards Franco
  24. Or the other way of looking at it is you asked for an extension on your house and budgeted £50k for it, but because you kept changing the spec, not paying the builder thus incuring penalties, adding things on that weren't in the budget, arguing with the builder, not forgetting changing the spec, so it took twice as long it ended up costing you £100k.
  25. Lets also remember it isnt £30m worth of training ground upgrades, it was training gronud upgrades that cost £30m.
