We so have some proper helmets for fans. The reaction on here is laughable 'I'm done with saints' 'all fart and no sh*t' because a manager who has twice before in 18 months talked about quitting finally has. If he doesn't want to be here let him do his year at spurs and get someone here who does want to be here.
-
Exactly this. They offered him a contract weeks ago, he wanted to leave and did. Other than issuing a statement saying this, which I'm sure the freaks who having been slating the new board from the minute they started would have found fault with, what more could they do?
-
Oh f*ck off you whinging c*nts

If you've got time and energy to do this whilst on the exercise bike you clearly arent focused on the exercise you are doing and won't be doing that at a heart rate and effort level high enough either to burn fat or increase cardiovascular endurance. You may have well have just sat on your arse to be honest. Thanks for the stats though.

Stick it on twitter this morning it'll be In the red tops by tea time.
-
We would. We are aiming for top 6, the trophy was the league cup which is beneath us, the Europa cup final was the final of a pointless competition we don't want to be in.

2 point infraction for a sexist comment chalet.

I can't be arsed to reply to everyone. The board have given a statement stating the position. Poch has said he will sort his situation out in the summer. The season finished 3 weeks ago. Everything else is speciation based on the media, the same media that has predicted for months and meltdown and mass exodus. Poch may go, if he does then he doesn't want to be here and let's get someone who does and move on with someone committed to club not the pipe dreams of a former employee.

The soap awards are on Adrian.

So it's gone from stalling on a new deal for months to being offered one before the season ended in about 3 posts You say yourself there could be anyone of a number of reasons, yet speculate that it's because we can't convince him to sign. Maybe he wants a few quid more. Maybe he wants a few million more on the budget. Maybe he wants assurance that hell have all the money if anyone is sold. What we do know is that the board have said they are comfortable with the current situation and Poch has said for everyone to stop panicking, of course lets just make things up.
-
You said players will be angling for a move in the summer. So who is? Surely some must have out in transfer requests by now given the shambles going on behind the scenes.
-
If the manager and board are currently negotiating his new deal and budgets etc but nothing is finalised then why would they ring the players to tell them that nothing has been agreed yet? "Hi Adam, just interrupting your training in Portugal to tell you I've got nothing to tell you'
-
Exactly this. If people really are stupid enough to believe that Man united and Liverpool wouldn't want to have signed shaw and lallana and they wouldn't want to have gone because Cortese was still here then they're mental.
-
I'm comfortable with the statement that came out of the club and ignoring the speculation. What is it he's uncertain about? You know for a fact he's stalling on signing the deal on the table, what's the reason?
-
Who has put in a transfer request?
-
As VFTT says, they've said that players we don't want to sell aren't for sale and talks with the manger are ongoing. What else do you want?
-
So despite claims on here the board have been doing something and have indeed offered him a new deal? Well this is great news!!! I'll prefer to ignore hysteria, speculation and dark forces and trust what our manager and board have said. He has a contract, he was focused on finishing the season, they have been planning for next season, talks about a new deal are ongoing and all parties are comfortable with that.
-
So you ignore what Poch said about how he has a deal with another 12 months to run and their is no rush? How do you know they aren't thrashing out the deal right now? Remind me who it is we've sold that we didn't want to?
-
You're 6 months is nonsense. Cortese quit in January, that is only 4 months ago. Gareth was FD up until then. Funny isn't it 'all the indications' in January were that we were in meltdown and everyone was set to walk out. It didn't happen, here we are 4 months on and we still haven't melted down, so they must be doing something right.
-
6 months? Ralph was appointed in March diggers, last time I checked that was 2 months ago. 'All the indications' I presume you're talking about that you've read in the media and ignored the statement made by the club? remember the dark forces Cortese warned about? people seem to be taking notice of them now.
-
How would a statement saying they've offered a him a deal and he hasn't decided if he wants to sign it or stay make them appear more in control? That clearly puts MP in clear control, might even come across as desperate for him to stay! they've said they're comfortable with the situation and planning for next season. That sounds like strength and determination of someone in control if he stays or goes. I'm not really sure what more people want.
-
Youre clearly ITK on this. How do you know we haven't tried to keep Poch? How do you know we've just rolled over and let him go? Maybe that's why it's taken so long? Laughable how people think we should so all our communicating with staff via the media.
-
How are we being made to look silly? Should we be crying to the press about other clubs wanting our players and manger? Ralph's statement that we should expect this speculation and treat it as good news as it means we are doing something right was bang on.
-
I can assure you Ralph, les, Gareth and Kat are working incredibly hard behind the scenes and there will be some good news very soon. If you have the best interests of the club at heart you'll celebrate this news.
-
Think back to when Cortese threatened to quit this time last year, he said then that he'd go if Cortese went, so you could say he'd have gone whatever and whoever was in charge if it wasn't nick nack. If that's the case and he was only here because of the dwarf then we are best off without him. Of course, I don't expect anyone to say they'd always dreamt of managing southampton, but if he thinks so little of the club that his loyalty was just to one man then we are better off trusting the board to act in the best interests of the club and get someone who does want to be here because they recognise it's a great job and club. I'm sure the helmets will blame the lack of ambition of the board though. Even though the owner hasn't changed.
