  1. Odds on Oasis announcing a few stadium dates later this year? Very high i'd say and they'd sell 100,000 tickets a night too. What a great album that was.
  2. As you were the one that called me racist for not rating him i'd pipe down pal.
  3. Gallagher has already been getting picked ahead of him.
  4. So despite the predictions on here that he was going to be a massive player for us and a premier league star and me being called racist for saying he wouldn't and i didn't rate him it seems the troll who talks a lot of sh*t was bang on the money again. He was the man of the moment after his goal against Derby because he ran around a lot and had a decent first few games, he might have made a championship striker but you could tell from very early on he wasn't going to be a premier league player. Good luck to the lad though.
  5. They speak the language if football, that is all that matters. It also might make more women come to games if they were being sold tickets by Luigi, Davide and Alessandro rather than Lee, Dave and Alan. One of the things we have learnt on this incredible journey is that if you do what you've done you'll get what you've always got. Cortese has dared to be different, he's pushed the boundaries and done what he feels is right and not what he is told is right and he's been very successful, if he does go and his legacy to us is a strong back office team with Italian blood but English backbone I for one will be greatful.
  6. Because it's areas we have struggled in, we lack depth in these departments and not had a top ticket office manager since David luker. We might lose our star man but we'd be stronger as a back office squad plus have the cash to attract another world class CEO
  7. No way should we sell him, he's a world class chairman. We need to be keeping all our best administration staff if we are to ever be a champions league club in the boardroom so that includes the CEO. If they were to offer us £150m, Their ticket office manager, corporate sales manager and head of catering them maybe we should consider it but until then no thanks, but he is not for sale.
  8. this was our team v Sunderland 01 Davis 22 Chambers 13 Fox 38 Reed 03 Yoshida 26 Hooiveld 09 Rodriguez 18 Cork 19 Lee (Ward-Prowse - 57' ) 10 Ramírez (Gallagher - 79' ) 08 Davis (Lallana - 70' ) Substitutes 02 Clyne 16 Ward-Prowse 20 Lallana 25 Gazzaniga 27 Isgrove 35 Stephens 40 Gallagher Whilst there were a few youngsters on the bench the only one we blooded in terms of any decent game time was Harrison Reed, Calum Chambers had already made his debut and made several first team appearances. The rest of the team was second string apart from rodriguez. So the excuse that some like to use that we used our young players doesnt wash i'm afraid. We either arrogantly assumed our reserves would beat another premier league side away from home, hoped they would, or weren't interested in the competition.
  9. Well when your told by many you talk a lot of sh*t and regularly accused of trolling it's fair enough to point these things out.
  10. Of course there are no guarentees, but Sunderland did. Are we not better than them? If they can beat them in a one off game why couldn't we?
  11. True, I wonder if people will still be insisting it's champions league or nothing when we get to the fifth round, like we should do.
  12. Amusing isn't it. A few weeks back when people said that a midtable finish between 8th and 10th was highly likely where we would finish and for this reason we should take the league cup seriously and play a strong team at Sunderland we were shouted down. This was preposterious. We would get injuries and we need to concentrate on the league, afterall it was champions league or nothing. So i'm not sure why people are moaning now, we could be looking forward to a semi final second leg at Old Trafford and being 90 minutes from Wembley, instead we are looking forward to a crucial 9th place 6 pointer when we host Stoke in a few weeks time. People wanted champions league or nothing and that's what they have.
  13. Seems to be the way with a lot of fans as saturdays poor attendance confirms. So much for desperately needing a bigger stadium and guarenteed sell outs if we were doing much better in the league.
  14. Not really sure what point you're trying to make pal, unless of course you're saying I was one of those who said he had a chance of Brazil, so good luck with that. As for the Lallana thing, was a fair discussion point at the time, which is ashy mongboards are for, no? again easy to sneer over a year on when things have changed isn't it pal.
  15. What are you on about? All I seem to see from you these days is lots of sneering comments at people whose opinion you don't agree with, but rarely commiting you one yourself. Like I said the other day, it's the role dull drums used to perform so well. You must be proud.
  16. Come on Strawlock, get off that fence and give us an opinion on something for once.
  17. Isn't he meant to be absolutely terrible Jamie?
  18. He seems to jump from one horrendous haircut to the next one. What was going on with those braids FFS? Needs to sort that out.
  19. He's terrible and not fit to lace Jonno Quicks boots pal.
  20. Without wishing to use a cliche, a fit and firing Ramirez will be like having a new signing.
  21. If you don't know you either didn't go today, can't read or don't need to know.
  22. Pure and simply he was signed by us at the wrong time. A young, clearly talented player who would be great in a team who dominated possession and and he saw a lot of the ball. How many teams coming up from the championship do that in their first season? Add to this the fact he's still young, doesn't speak the language etc and it was always going to be difficult for him. Last season was all about building foundations, staying up and being solid, this season is about establishing ourselves in this league as a midtable side. in truth Ramirez, a creative attacking talent to open teams up and do something a little different is the sort of player we should have been looking to sign this summer. On another note I see Adam Johnson, a player this forum assured us was 'sh*t' was utterly superb for Sunderland today.
  23. Good until he came to us. Must be all that knocking on pub doors at 2 in the morning smashed out of his head* *allegedly.
  24. Proof if any were needed just what an Important position goalkeeper is and how having a good one impacts your season. 3 goals conceded in each of our our last 3 homes games, clean sheet today. Coincidence?
  25. Disgusting song.
