  1. Thirsty Hirsty was more interested in the pubs and bars of Bedford Place.
  2. Wasn't he relegated with about 5 different clubs? QPR, Forest, Saints, West ham and Birmingham I think.
  3. Well that's not what I was told, I was told he was completely disinterested, refused to learn English and on several occasions said "I don't know what I am doing in this f*cking place" he hated it here. Funny how his knee always seemed to be okay when there was a big Ecuador game going on.
  4. One Ronald Koeman clap clap clap Ronald koeman a red and white army, clap clap clap He manages to the left he manages to the right Ronald Koeman, makes Andy Alford look ****e This is now it feels to be Pompey, this is how it feels to be poor You signed Alford we sign super Ronnie, super Ronnie, super Ronnie Koeman woooh ooh He used to be Valencia's boss He thinks Pompey are toss Ronald Koeman, Ronald Koeman He came from holland And he like Edam Ronald Koeman, Ronald Koeman He likes to wear clogs, thinks girls from pompey are dogs Ronald Koeman, Ronald Koeman He don't live in windmill thinks Pompey smell Ronald Koeman, Ronald Koeman He likes a joint or two, thinks pomey are poo Ronald Koeman, Ronald Koeman Clap clap clap clap clap.
  5. Bit unfair on Redknapp, he did his best but he was in a bad way when he joined, could only play once a week and his knee blew up to twice the size after every game. He should never have been signed as he wasn't anywhere near able to cope with a first choice player in a premier league side, in his prime though he was a magnificent player, who would have been world class if he wasn't made of glass. I used to know his brother and he said he had a lot of affection for Saints, Always felt he did his best for us but physically no longer up to it. The others though, Davenport, Bernard truly woeful.
  6. Best quote ever from Strachan on him, something along the lines of 'he came into my office tell me he thought he should be playing more, so I told him he would do if he got fitter and played better'
  7. We all hate the Pompey scum we do ron ron ron, we do ron ron We got Peter Crouch sent off and he scored none we do ron ron ron, we do ron ron Yeahhh Koeman hates the skates Yeahhh we can even score eight Yeahhh and we know he’s a Saint he hates the pompey scum, you do Ron Ron
  8. Pure luck
  9. Incredible that you weren't alive the only time we've won a major trophy (Neither was I) and you're happy to go through life seeing saints never win a major trophy, as long as we win a few league games a season. Baffling, truely baffling.
  10. So you'd rather be the 6th best team in the country but without a trophy than the 10th best team with a few to their name, fair enough. Isn't being a sports club about trying to win things though? Isn't that the whole point? I fail to see the compelling reason why anyone would want to finish the season empty handed and slightly higher in the league than with a trophy in the cabinet. Able to brag about being about being 6th rather than 10th? nah, give me a trophy any day. I cant remember the last club to do an open bus parade waving the cheque for finishing 6th to the joyous crowd so maybe when that day comes it might change my view.
  11. I get confused when they say we've lost the Loverns, Lallanas, Shaws etc, i'm pretty sure we only had and sold one of each.
  12. The new Aguero? This reminds me of the good old days when we had the new Arjan Robben, the Latvian Michael Owen, the Swedish David Beckham and the Irish Rory Delap.
  13. Should we win it Would we be the only club in England to have won all current domestic cup competitions? If that doesn't send shock waves round world football I don't know what will.

    Update:

What has happened to Josh Sims, isn't meant to be the next big thing?
  15. Laughable some of them are arguing Crouchs first wasn't a yellow but would be if he smashed him in the face. If he'd have done that it's be a straight red. Regardless anyway it was a bloody silly second one only minutes after his first, only got himself to blame.
  16. Lower league Yorkshire club away in the quarter final. 1-0 win anyone?
  17. He didn't look tired tonight, some of his play was sublime. Not so involved second half but we were on the back foot a bit more.
  18. Without checking Can you name the JPT cup winners from 2011, the year Birmigham won the league cup?
  19. For starters the Lambert miss was in the FA cup game, secondly our team for the league cup game had players like Fox, Lee, Yoshida, k Davis, Hooliveld Reed and Ramirez, so a virtual second string, thirdly, I'm of course not saying every fan felt that way, but a large amount on here thought it was beneath us and we should be aiming for a higher league finish. here's a few quotes from match thread the night we lost to Sunderland, more than the couple you asked for, but apart from all that you were spot on. "Is rather three points against Hull than a win tonight" "A win against Hull is far more important than the Mickey Mouse cup" "Meh, focus on the league" "Winning this cup means jack shi*e" "The performance tonight shows why we cannot risk our first teamers in this cup"
  20. I think you'll find this time last year there were quite a few who were glad we were out and played a weakend team and aiming for 7th was far more important.
  21. I was just surprised Walters didn't boot it in his own face.
  22. I got a text from someone who posts on here "put your money on a stoke red card before the end" sure enough, Crouch had gone within 5 mins First half excellent, Pelles hold up play is top draw and two good finishes, he really is a find. Tadic is a rolls Royce of a player. Long worked hard, pleased for him. Defended well first half but a bit shaky second. Saw their second goal coming but showed great character to turn it round again.
  23. Twas the view of many of our fans too.
