No, I think I do. In your eyes if someone says something is going to happen and it does they are stupid. Yet all the ones that claim something else will happen and mock the person who turns out to be right, then they are the ones who look clever. It makes perfect sense and is entirely logical.

I'm still not quite sure how me being right makes me look stupid. If people say something is going to happen, I say it won't, I get mocked for my stance, yet it turns out I was right and the mockers were wrong, surely by any logic its they that look foolish?

We aren't going to finish tenth though are we, so i was right and all those that said my prediction made me look stupid are the ones now trying to redeem themselves.

If, If, if. if Jay Rod hadn't gone down at Villa and Benteke had taken one of his numerous chances we'd be 2 points above the drop zone and Villa would be 11th. If Joe Hart and Gareth Barry hasn't messed up we'd 17th only two points above the drop zone. If both of these scenarios had happened we'd be in the drop zone and probably going down.These things work both ways you know.

Staying up was always a successful season and we've done that so its mission accomplished. Despite all the divs claiming how great it was teams below us were winning, ensuring our safety was the first job and then pushing on up the table. With 4-5 additions to the squad then we an push on next season to be an established midtable side.

An average team doesn't become a great one overnight. MPs honeymoon period deceived a lot of people into thinking that we were a force to be reckoned with. The reality is we are where we belong to be. There were lots of brash claims a few weeks back that we were all set for a top half finish. Hopefully these last few weeks have been a wake up call to some that this team and squad is still 4-5 players away from being anywhere near as good as some think it is.

Arrogance has seen us in this situation. An arrogance which has spread throughout the club and fans. We won't go down but all the talk is about the next level, top half finishes and next season when we were far from safe this season.

Why are we relying on other teams faliures to save us? A few weeks ago people were adamant we were going to finish top half and all the team below us winning doesn't matter. That arrogance is looking very misplaced now.

Interesting to see the mood of the forum has changed from it being brilliant that the teams below us were winning as it meant the teams above us were catchable to it now being vital that the teams below us lose as we could still go down. There was me thinking we were on an unstoppable charge to a top half finish.

It shows how sh*te football has become when people would take finishing 17th in the league over winning a trophy.
