The Champions League dream could get a little bit more realistic
Turkish replied to The Kraken's topic in The Saints
You need to raise your game of jumping on other peoples posts and tell them you are wrong when you are actually wrong yourelf Jamie. -
Just found this little clip on youtube. WHo was there? give us your stories. I remember seeing the highlights of this at the time, was only 7. Distinctly remember the Saints fans shaking the fences as well.

This is the problem with the overcommericalisation of Soccerball. -

Wasnt it better in the old days? The days when only the champions qualifed and it was a knock out, excitment from Round one and every match meant something rather than a lot of the group games these days. When the UEFA cup was arguably tougher to win the the European cup as the best of the rest went into this. 2-5th in England and the same from all the other top nations. For all the supposed improvements and money that's gone into it the both competitions are far worse and much less interesting than they used to be. -

Quite. How can it be called the "champions league" When the team that finished 5th in Scotland can qualify for it. Joke. -
Are we finally in a position to keep our youngsters?
Turkish replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
The very top young players will always go to the top teams. Now we are in and if we stay in the premier league we will be in a position to hold on to them for longer, like AOC did they wont want and need to leave because they want premier league football. This will mean when we do come to sell we aren't selling uproven players with potential, we'll be selling excellent young players with premier league experience which means bigger ££££ for us. We should be able to keep hold of the level below that though, the level of Jame Beattie was at with us, not quite international level but not far off and then sell them when it's right for us or them, not because they get to 19 and want bigger and better things. -

I expect Jermanie Pennant wishes he'd failed like Walcott. -

Exactly my thoughts. -
Its not, you're right. I just want to be popular on a mongboard, it was one of my lifes ambitions to be consider a respected contributor on here, I even lied and made up stories to impress you and it's backfired.
-
Of course you do fella, of course you do. Nothing at all.
-
Okay okay, its time to come clean. I didn't make it up at all. Barry the steward told me he had heard Guly had a 15 minute clause in his contract and i tried to make myself sound clever and impress you all by revealing it on here. A contract clause which was quite obviously bullsh*t and now that is wrong, apparantly, even though no one has proven me wrong i am so worried about my credibility on here. I aworried that a load of people i dont know and will never meet, especially people like yourself who's opinion i care so much, will think i'm a knob so i lied and pretend i was joking when in fact i was absolutely serious about it. This is FACT. Can you stop going on about it please? I've already embarassed myself, my Krew and all my family.

CArry on like this and i'll have you wacked.
-
You trying to mug me off?
-
That's better. As we haven't heard from Saints on this then it is impossible draw a conclusion on this. It certainly doesnt sound like the sort of thing we'd do anyway. You'd expect this from a club with court orders to pay bills, being slated in the media by more than one manager for the way we conduct our business with other clubs and the mugging off of ex players against them but it would be completely out of character and unusual for a club like Saints are our fantastic relationship with the local community to do such a thing.
-
Yes, you have, maybe not deliberately. Unless you're still trying to be a forum hardman and failing?
-
I'm glad you've dropped the forum hardman style, that wasn't doing you any favours.
-
where is the proof of this? You are your anti cortese agenda again.
-
Yep, it is a logical assumption to make that playing an youth team game where a few hundred people would attend at a stadium which isn't your own would indicate that the clubs are considering relocating in the future. I understand Man United are set to announce plans to move to Altringham shortly to tie in with the location of their reserve teams fixtures.

Nike trainers, addidas shorts, Ralph Lauren t-shirt, Fila track suit top. I looked as sharp as always.
