  1. The Brook is great for older bands and tribute acts. The Joiners was always the place to go for upcoming bands. They'd had the likes of the Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Oasis, Charlatans, Artic Monkeys and Libertines all play there before they made it. And of course the famous Nivana gig in the last 80's which people swear blind they were at that never actually happened!
  2. He'd be my choice. Not Corteses!
  3. What are you suggesting?!!!!
  4. My ideal choice would be Claudio Raneri. I think he's got the temperment to handle working with Cortese, the presence in the game to attact decent players who would want to come and play for him and the experience of the division and also other top leagues in Europe as well as being a good manager. I just dont think he'd leave Monaco unless Cortese was able to really persuade him that there was a really exciting challenge to be had here.
  5. This is a difficult one as it's neither postive or negative. Although i'm going to park this in the "Bullsh*t rumours" file for now as it mentions Cortese meddling in team affairs.
  6. The Joiners appears to be struggling financially. There are even suggestions it might have to close down and if it does then that will be the death of live music in Southampton. I am sure most people on here with an interest in music would have been to the Joiners at some point and there is no way an iconic Southampton venue should be allowed to die. This place is part as huge part of our city!! I would urge all of you to support this venue and get behind it, even if it's just popping in for a pint on a matchday, anything to help save the place. It's a fantastic place and the city won't be the same without it.
  7. Sue Whistle and Wes Ender are gone then!
  8. I thought it meant popping down once a season when you can get a free ticket and taking yourself off home an hour after the final whistle without telling anyone because you can't handle your beer?
  9. No one. An Internet mongboard is all about opinions, talking boll*cks and banter. People that Get their little knickers in twist about it need to question how empty their lives are.
  10. Oh you've got me on ignore have you Les?!! I'd never have know, it's not like you've ever mentioned it!!
  11. The problem is we've not played well for 90 minutes all season. Take the last 4 games, good in the first halves against Fulham and West Ham, in the second against Spurs and for about 25 minutes against WBA. The problem is our defence isn't strong enough to cope with any amount of sustained pressure so when we aren't on top of a game we usually concede.
  12. Have you been stalking me? You've got me spot on with that! I actually got boll*cked by Mr Frisby on Monday, the only day this week I've been to school, for not having done my chemistry homework. He reakons Im only going to get an E if I don't buck my ideas up.
  13. Wasn't it spectacular success at Watford? I expect we'll see plenty of Italians linked in the next month or so.
  14. Talking of which no mention of ulcers or dark and dingy bedsits recently?
  15. Im sure that is part or the five year plan.
  16. You're becoming as pedantic as Matthew Le Wrong. I quite clearly said who the other two were and what they wee responsible for, not which one of the did what.
  17. I didn't suggest that. I just said what the other two were responsible, id have added rspectively if i was aligning a role to either as you suggest I did.
  18. Hello Barry. Punch drunk on an internet forum. Wow, that's pretty serious. I hope you've got BUPA.
  19. You're too late Mr Wrong. Why didn't you mention their respective responsibilities as well?
  20. Interesting to see Davis isn't writing off games against any team in the top half.
  21. When people stop saying every negative article is bullsh*t and should be dismissed yet every postive one is amazing journalism then I'll stop reminding people of it. A number of people have also stated relegation doesn't matter this season as we're already ahead of the 5 year plan, so again, just another reminder. It's not me, it's those that say it.
  22. In percentage form please.
  23. Other board members are Les Reed, Brendon McGlinchey and Gareth Roberts. The last two responsible for finance and operations so I very much doubt they'd have much input into who is first team manager, I expect that decision came down to Cortese and Reed.
  24. This. Spot on.
  25. More lies written by lazy journalists. I'm am most surprised they havent picked up on relegation not mattering this season as we are already ahead of the five year plan. So out of touch it's untrue.
