Not really. Ben Foster did it at Man U, Scott Carson and Chris Kirkland did it at Liverpool, Joe Hart did it for years at Man City. Richard Wright did it at Arsenal. In fact it seems all promising young keepers decide to do just thst so actually it would be a much stranger thing to do to join a club like Southampton when he has the choice of Man United, City or Arsenal.
