Dont be ridiculous, he knows everything.
-
That's the thing people fail to get, he doesn't claim to. I've never seen a quote from him claiming that he does either. Steve Grant, Steve Goodwin, Jason McFeat and that short ginger one whose name escapes me (mike something?) all give comments to the echo it's just their view on any given subject they've been asked about, they dont get any of the grief Nick does. None of them "speak for the fans" it's just their view.

Saints 4th favourits for promotion! SKY BET.

Thats probably the biggest understatement since Noah said it looks like rain. -
I dont recall him posting since promotion, odd that, for a Saints fan.

No infraction points!!! As for the IBO, that was formed by a group of people who take the internet far too seriously, a bit like a lot on here so i'm sure many from here would fit in no problem. In short they were okay to dish out abuse but when they got it back they went crying to Nick with a list of conditions they wanted him to apply (including banning some people, i believe, who they had ironically been abusing themselves) or they were going to disapear off into the sun set and set up their own forum. It seems too ridiculous to believe but when you see quotes on the IBO forum with people saying things like "i had had enough of the UI forum and this place gave me hope" It gives you an idea of the mentality of the people that use it. It sounds more like a rehab clinic than an internet football forum to me. But to some people, the internet and specifically football forums = serious business

Where is verbal? I want to know where he stands on this issue.

Obscene. £750 for an east or west stand ticket for championship football FFS. It's a total rip off.

cant you come out with some sort of statistic to prove that the teams finishing bottom of the premier league with debts over £50m usually finish on average 14th in their first season in the championship, or something equally as interesting. -
This. They are rehursing unveiling Owen to a packed St Marys next week. ITK FACT.
-
I am sure Owen is currently at home playing FIFA 2011 with himself up front with Rickie & Johnno Quick for Saints and scoring goal after goal from through balls and crosses from our all star midfield. He is probably erect at the prospect of living out his X-Box dreams in the real world.
-
We have both. Too much money according to a thread on here. I bet Owen cant get here quick enough, he probably just wants saturdays champions league final out of the way quickly so he can complete his dream move.
-
Dont be a mug, he's a very, very good footballer. If we didn't sign players because we didn't like their girlfriends or who they played for on loan we wouldn't sign anyone FFS. It's all academic anyway as he'll go to a premier league club.
-
Why would Owen stay at Manchester United? Reading between the lines he's obviously had a chat with our super chairman, bought into his vision and is running his contract down at Old Trafford. He's not doing that to join a midtable club like Everton, they dont have ambitions to expand the stadium to 48,000 or move ground and to play in the Champions League.
-
Yes definitely, he is what a scout on championship manager would come back with a report of as "you should sign this player at all costs"" Put in a cheeky bid and hey presto he's ours. Any more news on Owen?
-
He may not be liked or popular but he is not there to be popular, he is there win things for Manchester United and love him or loathe him, everything he does are what he feels are in the best interests of Manchester United FC and his record proves that more often that not he gets it spot on. Unfortuantely at big clubs these days and with the ego of the modern players nices guys dont tend to last long there, Roy Hodgson & Claudio Raneri anyone? You need to be a bit of an 'orrible c*nt just to survive these days, thats the way it is. A lot of it is media driven these days anyway, Busby, Shankley and Paisley didn't have press conferences every five minutes and every word printed and in some cases twisted to mean something it's not. What would the papers make about the infamous football being more important than life or death comment? That's hailed as a genius quote from a legend of the past, but what would the PC media make of that these days had Ferguson said it? I'm sure some papers would have attempted to spin it somehow and showing how this proves football is out of control, too much money, too big egos and offensive to everyone in the world that has ever known anyone that has died etc etc

I agree with what you are saying, but i think this is more to do with the fact that for some reason Antonio was the darling of the fans for a while, depsite not actually being that good. IMO PUncheon was a far better player, but a lot of here prefered Antonio. I remember having numerous discussions about this last summer and early in the season. Also by the type of player Puncheon is he is not going to be brillaint for 90 minutes week in week out but has that ability, much like Guly to unlock a defence by offering something different. Unfortunately a lot of our fans dont seem to understand that and prefer players that appear to work harder but are less effective. People still rave about Waigo and Antonio and still question Gulys ability, yet statistically Guly is more effective than both of them.
-
I wasn't replying to you. And i do understand your attempt at an arguement and i believe you are wrong.
-
Surely the fact that Puncheon have proven himself right and gone on to prove himself at a higher level and show he is capable of better than he was producing at Saints prove Saints fans right that he wasn't giving his all and peforming as he can, therefore warranted his critics. Given his performances at Millwall and Blackpool he should have been tearing League one apart, the fact that he wasn't justifies Saints fans getting a bit "Uppity"* about his lack of performance for us. * I hope our black fans aren't offended by me using the word uppity in this context.
-
Yes we are all racist because we didn't take to kindly to a player throwing a strop and refusing to travel with the team and generally appearing not to give his all when playing and therefore not performing to the level he believes himself to be capable of. There are some seriously weird people on this forum.
-
I'm assuming this is a joke. You seriously dont understand that the admiration for a manager that has won 12 league titles, two champions leagues, 5 FA Cups?!!! What has a manager got to do to impress you?! As for Chelsea, they've had more spending power than Man United over the last five years but United have won the title 4 out of the last 5 seasons FFS!!! It's not just his record trophy wise either. It's the way he deals with the players, looks after those that want to be there and jogs on anyone that gets too big time. There is no doubt he is the boss and has been on of the most successful managers of all time. Okay the team that will start on saturday doen't contain any home grown academy players but it includes Rafael, Anderson, Nani, Rooney and Hernandez all players signed as youngsters and apart from Rooney, relatively cheaply and moulded into the team that it is. You might not like the bloke but only an idiot would say he isn't a great manager, you dont survive for 24 years at Manchester united if you aren't.
-
And what are the reasons to hate them? They've had two of the greatest managers in the history of English football. They've produced arguably the 3 finest home grown players in British football in the last 20 years in Scholes, Giggs and Beckham through their academy and add to this other players that have been signed as young players and developed like Ronaldo, Rooney, Keane and now Hernandez and Nani. I wonder what Fergie could have done with Gazza if he'd chosen United over Spurs. They've always played attractive attacking football and won things the right way, playing football, not grinding out wins playing negative football like Chelsea. Compared to Chelsea & Man City they haven't spent hundreds of millions buying the best players available. Fergie has nack of signing young players as mentioned above and moulding them into a superb team. You can argue their fans are arrogant, but i dont have a problem with arrogance when it's justifed, when it's not you look like a mug. Of course the other side of the coin with regard to their fans is that their travelling support is the best in the country, certainly the songs that they sing are original and copied by other clubs, ourselves included. The only reason people "hate" Man United is because they are big and successful club and as a nation we are conditioned to back the underdog and that continued success is in some way a bad thing. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Man United and they are the benchmark for what other clubs should aspire to reach.

We will win the league by 20 points with 10 games to spare and Saints stars Lambert, Scott Parker, Micheal Owen, AOC, Lallana and Davis will make up the core of the England team which beats Spain 9-0 in the Euro championships final. Lambert will be tournement top scorer with 24 goals beating Fernado Torres to the golden boot by 18 goals. All 6 Saints players will tie and share the PFA Player of the year award for 2011/12 season.
-
I really dont understand the national obessession with hating all things Man Utd. Give them and Neville a f*cking break. They've been the most successful club of the last 20 years, have a superb manager who has built 4 different sides all quality, won everything there is to win and doesn't take any sh*t off players getting too big time and doesn't pander to the media. Neville, whilst not being the best player to ever play at Old Trafford has been a decent one club man who has given his all for his team and country and loves playing for them. You never hear stories of him fighting in night clubs, sh*gging whores or cheating on his wife, if you think he is a destestable human being you need to have a look at yourselves, he deserves a testimonal in the same way Jason Dodd and Benali deserved testimonials for us. IMO they are run and conduct themselves in a way every other club should aspire too, not hate. But then we hate them because as a nation we dont like winners do we, we like plucky losers.
