ahh but is he jonno quick?
-
To motivate him for his big chance against MK Dons next week i think we should use the legendary Martine Mcutcheon for his inspiration and have this playing when he takes to the pitch, nobody says it better IMO.[video=youtube;jG16jv-itYw]

They said on Solent he was carried down the tunnel by the physio??

I recently f*cked up an interview for a great job because i f*cked up the question "how do you like to be managed?" My answer was along the lines of "i am self motivated so dont need much supervision, but if i have a problem or face a challenge then it's always good to have someone experienced and knowledgeable to rely on for advice" I didn't think there was much wrong with this, considering it was a senior sales job and i'd be out of the office 3 days a week but apparantly that was wrong and the Country Director thought i'd be difficult to manage. He said that i should have said something about being surrounded and managed by succesful and experienced people who will inspire me and drive me to greater heights and that i like to be set clear objectives and goals to continually improve my performance and be monitored on these etc. Fair comment i suppose but i think the bloke basically just wanted me to suck his c*ck, which i aint going to do for no one, whatever the job.

Not just quick, Jonno Quick. He's also got incredible strength according to Nige. A bit like a cross between Samson with short hair and Usain Bolt.
-
He is a winger who can also play up front.

Leyton Orient away sold out...Extra tickets allocated
Turkish replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
ffs! A mate went to get ours today and sold out. Fingers crossed we get some more. -
My PLymouth tickets arrived today. went down thursday to the TO and was told 2,200 sold out, another 1000 on their way, of which most would be taken up by people on the waiting list, of which i was one. Dont think many will be left at all by now. I am sure we could sell out double the allocation for this one and also Orient.

I was talking in Adkins speak, we are like Red Rum remember, Jonno Quick is like Phil "the Power" Taylor. FACT.
-
Thanks for your concearn, but no. I am just looking forward to Jonno Quick stepping up to the ocky and hitting a 180.
-
Drogba isn't jonno quick.
-
Can u just remind you of these comments... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2281315,00.html In particular "he's lightening quick, When i talk about quick players i ask "is he Jonno quick?" "he's got unbelievable pace and strength, he gets that ball and he runs with it in behind and he scores goals, I training some of the stuff that he does- he's unplayable"
-
He is going to be a MASSIVE player for us in the run in.
-
We are still in the driving seat but given everyone was so delighted with a point away at Charlton and our other games in hand are away at Rochdale, who are better than Charlton and then at home to Charlton, who some seem to think have suddenly started playing well again, what is the best we can hope for from these games? 2 points, 3 tops i guess.
-
With Lallana and and Chamberlain out injured this is Jonno Quicks opportunity to step up to the plate and show why he is so highly regarded by the manager. The guy now has the opportunity to prove himself as an inspired signing and cover himself in glory. Come on Jonno Quick, this is your time. Stand up, tap Chamberlain and Lallana on the shoulder and say "out of the way you pair of crocks, it's all about me now" Jonno Quick is going to be the man to do the business. FACT

The best excuse i have heard so far is that previous form doesnt matter when teams play us and its common for teams to be on a bad run and then suddenly start playing well again. By conicidence Chalrton "suddenly started playing well" in the last ten minutes when we were winning 1-0. Walsall "suddenly started playing well" against us too. So did Tranmere, Yeovil, Nott County. What a coincidence this is!!!
-
They may have had the odd slip up here and there which happens but not many. Only 5 losses this season, none of them at home. I'd swap our point at Hartlepool for the rest of their results wouldn't you? What about us? Wallsall, Tranmere, Brentford, Charlton, Plymouth, Swindon, Yeovil, Peterborough all games we should and could have won but didn't, all put down to one of those days. I dont expect us to win every game, Huddersfield for example i except was a tough game and we were beaten by a better side on the day. If you are happy to be the best of the rest then you carry on, personally i expect a bit more from the side than that. Second place is still in our hands, but it would have been a whole lot more straightforward if we had beaten the team Dagenham and Redbridge beat on saturday and 8 of their previous 9 opponents had.
-
So by that logic Manchester United wouldn't expect to beat Wigan because previous results and form mean nothing, Wigan have a couple of good players and Arsenal drew their earlier in the season?
-
How anyone can think a draw against a team which had lost at home to Brentford, Carlise and Exeter in recent weeks, has lost 7 of their last 8 and were shocking for 80 minutes of the game is beyond me. We had a great opportunity to stamp our mark on automatic promotion against a team on a terrible run and low on confidence and threw it away. Teams that win things win games like last night, even not at their best they close the game out and dont conceded late goals, just look at how many away games Brighton have won 1-0 recently for proof of this.
-
Not just the season, the entire club is at risk from this injury. If he is out for more than one game, we wont go up, Cortese will pull the plug on us, walking away from all the money the Liebherrs have invested so far, selling the club for a pound and a piece of lucky heather to a family of Travellers from Sandhurst. All of our top players will go, we will sign players on a free from Mychett Athletic to replace them and slide down the leagues until we are playing in Southampton junior 5 saturday league. The travellers will turn the car parks into a Southampton gypsy commuity and use the pitch to let their horses graze and we will end up playing at Riverside Park. All because of Lallana straching too far and pulling his groin FFS.

Yeah, that wears off after about 3 months. Apart from fridays when it's Suzannah Reid o'clock on BBC Breakfast, that makes up for the rest of the week. Phone goes to voicemail as i am busy doing "administration" friday mornings. Sky plus was invented for moments like that.

I work from home and have done for 18 months, in a sales job. Although i am often (sually 2 days a week) out at meetings with customer it does drive you round the bend. Some weeks, particularly in the winter months you might not see anyone else for days and get bad cabin fever. Sometimes it's great to be able to roll out of bed at 8.45 and switch the lap top on the minus far outweigh the pluses. My head office is in Cheshire though so a long commute, time to find something else i think.

I agree with you that tonight is a great opportunity to put ourselves in the driving seat, but if we dont win tonight we can still overtake the other two with our remaining games in hand over them and they have to play each other. I dont agree with this "'i'd take a draw" nonsense, as i said if we fail to take advantage against what has been a very poor Charlton side given their form and the circumstances only a win is a good result, anything else will be massively disapointing, but not a disaster.
-
there probably wouldn't be room, he's quite a big lad, would probably need two seats each.
-
We dont HAVE to win. If we dont win tonight it doesn't mean we wont go up. However a win will put us in the box seat, same points as huddersfield with two games in hand and two points clear of Peterbourgh with one in hand, not forgetting they have to play each other yet. We have a fantastic opportunity to put ourselves in the driving seat against a Charlton side without any confidence on a terrible run and most of their fans expect to get spanked. I wont be satisfied with a draw, second is ours to lose now and if we fail to capitlise tonight against a team Dagenham and Rebridge beat on saturday and have lost at home to Brentford, Carlise and Exeter in recent weeks then it'll be hugely disapointing.
