    An apology

With great power goes great responsibility Colin. You need to start taking your position more seriously and stop upsetting us customers or Baj will cull you.
  2. I'll surprise you and wear it at a game this season, look out for me, i'll be the nutty chap laughing with everyone.
  3. I love getting fancy dressed up at football, there is nothing quite like it. Away from the internet i'm quite a dull and bland person really who struggles to engage in meaningful conversations with people. Getting dressed in hilarious outfits is a good way to show everyone that i am a little bit, well mad and not as boring as i look and really do know how to have fun. I've got loads of brilliant outfits that show how crazy i am. As well as the standard face paints, jester hats and/or wig for games together with my giant foam hands i've got loads of other truely MENTAL costumes for special occasions. I've gone to games in the past dressed in many nutty outfits, probably the one i had the biggest laugh in though was a red gimp suit i wore to Peterborough away last season and a similar one to the Pompey home game in the cup last year. That really drew attention to myself with everyone seeing how mad i am. The whole day was one long LOLathon.
  4. As i said on another thread i am a convert to his way of thinking. On my recent holiday the fans staying in our hotel i was aware of was as follows Man United 3 Man city 2 Saints 2 Chelsea 1 Norwich 1 Everton 1 Arsenal 1 Spurs 1 Proof that we have twice as many fans as Chelsea and Arsenal and are closing in on Man United. Gods knows what we could achieve in the premier league with greater exposure. Add these stats to the compelling evidence that Chelsea got 13k in 1982.Sunderland only got 20,000 at Roker Park. Fulham get 25k despite being near Chelsea. We've got a massive catchment area which has some imaginary line running fromlondon, through Birmingham to Liverpool it which means everyone from Kent to North Wales, Inc Cardiff and Bristol are potential Saints fans because there is no premier league club in that area. (excluding Swansea now I guess?) something about thousands of day trippers coming up from Devon and Cornwall to see premier league football. Being on an unstoppable march to the premier league with our academy graduate team. Yep all that evidence means that we need to expand quickly. 50k isn't enough we are the new Barcelona, 100k. Anything less is a lack of ambition. It's entirely possible. Afterall Didnt they say man would never walk on the moon.
  5. I do love all this talk of Corteses vision. Lowe had a vision as well, develop the youth team, employ upcoming British managers. It's not that dissimilar, the only difference is Lowe had shareholders to pay a dividend to every year. Lowe got it wrong, Cortese has got it right, so far. But we can all "have a vision" what is really needed is north of 300 million quid burning a whole in your pocket to make it happen. Does Cortese? Who knows, one thing is for sure, it takes more than a vision to make it reality.
  6. Hello mate. I'm good thanks, good to meet you out there. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday. All good with you?
  7. Easy. Get your wife to arrange her shifts around the games. If she can't, get her to leave a list of household chores for your daughter to do whilst you are at the game. She'll be kept busy so she won't miss you, she'll learn independence and her place in life. She'll feel fulfilled and motivated and also be trained at a young age how to cook and clean making her more appealing to men when she is older. You get to see the game. Everyone's a winner.

    Sammy Saint

His disappearance coincided with NC's arrival. Another example of Corteses disregard for the fan base.
  10. To be honest i am starting to come round to the idea. I was on holiday recently and in our hotel the fans were as follows Man United 3 Man City 2 Saints 2 Arsenal 1 Chelsea 1 Liverpool 1 Everton 1 Proof if any were needed that we have twice as many fans as these clubs and are catching up with Man United. God knows what we could achieve when we get to the champions league.
  11. and it's cost Man City, what? £300m sheets to do it. I know some people think we are going to playing champions league football with a team full academy graduates in a sold out 50,000 St Marys stadium every week, but those of us that live in the real world and not on football manager are a bit more realistic.
  12. Considering it will cost as much to expand SMS to 45,000 as it cost to build it, how do you think this is going to be financed, without going into debt.
  13. not sure about season ticket holders being able to buy extra, but it says on their website members of the "The Blue Army" will get priority and it goes on sale to them first, then general sale. I guess "the Blue Army" cant be very big.
  14. Season ticket holders then on sale to their membership club "the blue Army" who got priority. So yes, it does prove they are stuggling to sell them.
  15. The difference being of course that they only have 18k tickets to sell for the one, we had 28,000.
  16. http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/latest-news/Southampton-Tickets-Are-On-General-Sale-2717.aspx Embarassing. Where are the greatest fans in the world FFS???
  17. I call it top flight football. They refuse to accept football existed before 1991, i refuse to call it by the name they have given it.
  18. Hmm, the best league in the world as marketed by Sky Sports. I'd suggest the German and Spanish leagues are at least as good. Anyway, I get pleasure from seeing Saints win and play good football, not watching supposedly elite players run rings round us while their arrogant fans take the p*ss in the stands, or worse still sit in silence as they expect to beat us. Also having to put up with plastic Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea etc "fans" at work whose support consists of having a sky sports subsription and owning a replica shirt taking the p*ss when they beat us. I also dont want to pay 50 quid a game to see us battling relegation every season going back to the survival is success mantra that was trotted out during the 90's. I cringe at fans celebrating staying up on the last day of the season like they've won the champions league, that isn't success, that is narrowly avoiding faliure and it sure as hell aint worth £800 over the course of a season. If we were in that situation i'd seriously have to question if top flight football is for me, even at "only" £40 a game. Forget talk of being a champions league club, that is deluded, unrealistic thinking. However, if we had a real go at regularly finishing in the top 6-10 every season whilst playing attractive football, even if we didn't always achieve it, then i would welcome top flight football and would be prepared to pay the going rate.
  19. I think you're going to struggle to be honest. These days demand massively exceeds supply and its near on impossible to get s ticket to most games. In the near future I can see situation where every away game goes to a ballot. I expect you'll be right for this one though.
  20. BBC has an anti Saints agenda.
  21. I was absolutely sickened by a lack of respect to our club by the matchday programme today. In the quiz inside it there was a question - which Player played for Coventry, Southampton as well as AC Milan and Rangers? We racked our brains for ages trying to think of the answer only for it to be revealed as Mark Hately. We all know he never played for us but it was in fact Portsmouth that he played for as well as the others. It ruined the day for me and was absolutely sickened by the lack of respect for our history. No wonder they are struggling when they can't even get quiz questions right. I am going to write a strongly worded email to their chairman.
  22. that'll be the lack of plan B Pardew has during games that we were told about on here coming home to roost.
