That's the one of was thinking of. Isn't his brother the one who looks sh*t hot for Swansea?

Ricketts closer to signing than we thought then?
Turkish replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Back up players is what we need, 3 back up players for each position ideally. Ones who aren't very good but CDAJFU if one of our XI gets injured. It worked really well when we were in the premier league in the 04/05 season where we had a massive squad full of average to crap players. Much better to follow this model than having 20-22 good players as part of the first team squad and some good youngesters who can be rotated depending on form, fitness, oppostion etc like all the top clubs do. -
Judging by your posts in the last month or so, i think you'll be hearing it a lot more in future.
-
Don't we have a kid called Sinclair who is supposed to be mustard?
-
I seem to recall about half way through the season the club saying we had a group of very good young players about 16 or so coming through. I am sure some of you will follow their progress and know who the future stars are. Anyone know?

You wouldn't be saying that if like myself, Dell Days and the illterate, horrdendous couple from Shirley you were writing this from outside SMS, queuing through the night. I am sending a strongly worded email of complaint tomorrow morning.

It's what will become known as "The Southampton Style"

Is it true they are bring out £126 season tickets to celebrate the anniversary?

He is the official club spokesman. Apparantly started out in the media department a few years back and a bit of a yes man to Nicky, hence his promotions since he rolled into town.

Clad in a saints shirt and scarf. She'll be pictured in the echo tomorrow night holding her scarf above her head surrounded by a group of other wierdos and give a brief but unintelligible interview about what a brilliant season it's going to be, especially when Micheal Owen signs.

It's a masterstroke from our Super Chairman. By delaying the announcement he is building up the anticipation and excitment. He is getting everyone talking about it and excited about it without having to spend a single penny on advertising or marketing. Yet another brilliant move from Super Nicky. Why waste money on marketing when you have a forum of people who will do it for you. He is a genius.

I am going straight down to SMS as soon as they are announce to queue through the night to show my passion for the club and hopefully graft a free cup of tea, delivered in person by our super chairman.

The great middle weight boxers of that era, Eubank, Benn, Watson, Collins, some fantastic fights in the mid ninties.

this is a highlight for me as well.

removal of the installment plan without notice made it difficult for some. I didn't get a season ticket last season because there wasn't one and i was a bit strapped for cash this time last year so didn't have that much cash at the time. This year i's a different story and doesn't matter either way. Just because it was easy fro you it doesn't mean it was for everyone you plum.

Oh an here he goes again, like at the end of the season pulling up all the threads about us not getting promotion in a "look at me" type way. I know it doesn't fit in with your little agenda, late notifaction as to prices, a cut off date of the start of the season or tough luck and the removal of the installement plan without notice did make it very difficult for people.
-
No installement plan, or if there is one why is it only over x amount of months instead of x.

FFS, what are we going to moan about now?!

With the sash it's ours, we are individuals. Stripes and we just look like Sunderland, Stoke & Sheffield United amoungst others. Keep it i say, it's great.
-
I've heard this as well, also from a good contact, the plan around xmas time was to bring them in during the summer, also bar coded match tickets which can be scanned, if it is going to happen or not i dont know.
-
as football kits go, they are both great and i'd like us to keep the sash, it's unique, makes us different. Another great move from Cortese.

Thats the great thing about the championship, much more of an even playing field and not a lot of difference between most of the teams. It's going to be a good season with some great, proper football clubs in this division.
