what about the five games before that? 4-1 win against the team currently one place above us, 6-0 away at a team that had only lost once before at home all season, couple of bad performances and all of a sudden he is the new Tony Adams FFS, some of you lot are unreal.
-
I can confirm you are correct and he is no looker.
-
So you were bowled over by her looks but didn't fancy her? If this the case then maybe we are getting somewhere, you feel something is missing from your life, you aren't happy with how you are and the way your life is going, you find women attractive but dont fancy them, it's all coming together. It's alright you know, it's not he 1950's anymore its acceptable to be one of them, if you know what i mean.
-
ahh i see, you got in first before she did then.
-
So you went out with a girl you didn't fancy? You are sounding more desperate by the second my tree trunked legged chum, no wonder life isn't "all that"
-
Was this because you didn't fancy her and couldn't get it up? Of course you did, no man likes to admit to being dumped. Dont worry, denial is also a side effect of rejection, but we can work through this as well.

One thing i have, unbelievably, failed to mention so far, is your trio of pals. Firstly, hanging out with someone you live with who you are not in an emotional realtionship with is unhealthy, not least of all because of the gay rumours they will incur. However more worryingly is your association with your ex and her new partner. You are always going to find them boring because you resent the ex for dumping you, you resent her current boyfriend because you are jealous of the fact he is pounding the woman you undoubtedly still have feelings for, why else would you still be associating with her unless it was to cling onto the remote possibility that she may at some point want you back? You will of course, be looking for ways to usurp your ex's current partner because you are bitterly jealous of him. Finding fault in his conversation is natural response and a symptom of your deep seated jealousy that you feel toward him. I am sure amidst all your fake laughter, you looked across at her being genuinely impressed and amused at his anecdotes and the way her hair tumbled cutely over her eyes as her head tilted backward in genuine laughter and appreciaton of her new boyfriends humour, in a way could only have dreamed of during your time with her, did the thought "what is she doing with him?" enter your head at any point? No need to answer that, it's natural reaction that envy produces. The first step on the road to your emotional salvation is to cut off all contact with the ex, harbouring feelings for a woman that doesn't want you and has clearly moved on is fatal error. That way not only will you rid yourselves of these dull "friends" but you will also start the recovery process that all scorned partners need to go through. It's a long and difficult road ahead but luckily for you you have this forum to discuss your emotional issues and get some sensible and caring advice from like minded individuals. Good Luck.

It's about time we had some more of those, been a while

You're right i would be. BTW, if you are p*ssed up on NYE and writting on an internet forum "is life really all that" they maybe you are deluding yourself and you are as depressing in real life as you are on here?

If you really think we don't need to buy...

Collective responsibility i think. I didn't go today so cant comment on the overall performance but by all accounts it sounds like we were complacent at first. The manager can only do so much, once the players take to the pitch its down to them. -

If you read this thread i am not "coming round" at all, my arguement has alwasy been if we add two or three good players then brilliant, but signing cover players just to play when the first choice is injured is not the answer. I've always said we need 20-24 good players who we can use to adapt formation, tactics, players etc depending on the opposition. And as i said above we didn't lose today because of "exhibit a" the team we had out should have been easliy good enough to see off Tranmere, it was because of individual errors and Tranmere wanting it more, that is unacceptable, it doesn't matter how strong the bench is, if that attitude is wrong you will fail. -
Not even be positve, postive, positive, just stop being such a pansy. If anyone i know started bleating on about how sh*t their lives are they would be told to stop being so self indulgent, pull themselves together and sort it out, i'd expect the same to be said to myself if i ever did such a thing. Maybe thats the wrong thing to say in this lilly livered, lets talk about our emotions culture that has been created over the last 20 years,, but f*ck it, people need to man up. In answer to your OP though, just avoid them, tell them they bore the sh*t out of you. Although maybe you could instigate some "it life really all that" debates and see what they have to say about it? I am sure they'd probably agree with you.

We agree on something my chunky friend, lets put out the bunting!!! Any player, no matter how good that misses a game because of their "mental state" is a c*nt and should be got shot off at the earliest opportunity. If they cant hack a midseason game at Tranmere how are they going to cope with the pressure of having to win a game to secure a title or promotion?
-
An internet forum, especially a male dominated football forum, is just the place for sensible advice for emotional and friendship issues. Why dont you write to Danny Dyers problem page in Zoo while you are at it?
-
Thumbs up Forum friend.
-
Is it just conicidence that since he has been back our form has dropped off? It's a shame, he is a decent player, but as a bloke it is fast emerging he is an utter c*nt. Get rid of him asap.

We didn't lose today because of a supposedly weak bench and squad. We lost because Tranmere had two shots at goal and scored twice, individual errors leading to the goals and most worryingly the attitude of the players. Quite simply in the first half Tranmere wanted it more, hussled and pressured us and played out of their skin. You can have a squad of 60 world class players but if their attitude isn't right then they wont win. I can accept us losing due to moments of brilliance from the other team or bad luck from us, sometimes it just doens't go for you, but what i cant accept is us losing because the other team want it more, especially in a game we should win easily on paper and when we have so much to play for. -
Sorry, i should have written 5 paragraphs on how depressing it is that at my age i dont own a house, i'll remember next time.
-
Who took the the cherry off your Belgian bun? A few weeks ago you were begging to hang out with me. You seem to have delvloped a bit of an attitude just lately, you been cyber knocking about with Supermikey and Alpine? You're right though, maybe i should be more interesting, posting threads about how depressing my life and how sh*t my mates are is sure to increase my internet popularity.

i had a forum friend once who used to bore the life out of me with his stories about when he was younger he used have ocd and a prayer ritual and he didn't say certain sentances bad things would happen, also used to moan a lot about how life wasnt all that, i've managed to avoid him for a while but he is perstant i tell thee.

why dnt we go into biz together and knock up some saints/man u snoods? the ultimate fashion accessory for the super fan
-
doesn't that come off the amount you can borrow for a mortgage?
-
my sentiments exactly, the closer we get to this game the more embarassing it becomes, it's nothing special, its a fourth round cup tie against Man Utd FFS. And if i see anyone wearing one of those scarves i'll f*cking Strangle them with it,

It's totally different, it's like Saints playing Shrewbury in the FA Cup and resting Fonte, Lallana, Lambert or another key "star" player, like we did. Wenger picked a team to win the match and used their squad, that is what good managers do, the team he picked was good enough to beat Leeds relatively comfortably, why? Because he has a good, strong squad full of good players, capable of winning games without their star men. Not just significantly poorer quality cover players that only play when others above them in the pecking order get injured.
