no, they said "a source close to Chamberlain said he may have played his last game for us" - big difference, one is factual, the other is total ambiguous. IMO if we can keep him for the rest of season and get the rumoured £10m then we have a good deal, that will give us 5 very good championship players, if he leaves in Jan it doesn't give us much time to replace him, although i assume work has been going on behind the scenes incase this happens.

If you really think we don't need to buy...

And this is my point, these are the sort of players we can expect to get if "cover" is all we go for. -
i'll have some FREE advice, first time buyer, decent wage, zero deposit though at the moment, shall we call it a "chequered" credit history over the last 10-15 years but been a good boy for the last 3 or 4 years and now the only debt i have is a couple of grand on credit cards which i could clear off easily if i want to. Never been able to save up a deposit as been renting for 10 years and paying off debts from my early 20's. What are my chances?

a couple of internet sites said we were interested and an ITKer on here said we had bid £1.5m other than that its 8 pages of nonsense with people wetting themselves, creaming themselves or wristslitting in equal measure. Dont get me wrong, i'd love us to sign him, but yet again this forum excels itself with histrionics based on zero facts and speculation.

yeah it's just over 2 hours to drive, which is fine, i was all up for making an early start, getting into London early and visiting a few old haunts then heading to Peterborough for about 4pm but probably will drive, have to do that another day.
-
HOw much are you paying and what route are you going by train? I had all but decided to drive as when i looked online it was £65, 3 changes and 3 1/2 hours each way.
-
are you sure?

Two options, we could sign a back up bus driver, although really we could do with three or four incase they get injured. We could always sign a conductor who could fill in as a driver if we are hit with an injury crisis, he wont be as good but at least we'll have cover.

or maybe we just trusted in out management that they knew what they were doing and didn't predict a knee jerk reaction of impeding doom based on nothing but speculation and worst case scenarios, before anyone even knew the extent of both players injuries.....

This thread is genius, pure drama and speculation. it also seems according the echo report that Chaplow will play tomorrow and is fit and Hammond has started training again and will resume training again soon. So from the drama of the impending slide down the table due to all of our midfield being injured, this time next week would go infact have them all fit! Onto the next drama queen thread!

they'll only need 7,000 tickets, 63,000 Saints fans desecending on Manchester will be some sight, it'll be a top weekend up there as well.
-
I thought that and "0-0, in your cup final"
-
You are right and wrong, i know for a fact that 11 of the players training today will be in the first XI tomorrow.

You are probably right, Whereas Jesus was just a class act, John The Baptist is one of those prophets that would be better prophecying at a higher level, his language and dicition was far to skillful for the lowlights of L1 level disciples, he'd be much better preaching to Emperors and Caeasers in The PL, certainly a wasted talent and will definitely look back on his career with regret that he didn't get more international caps for Israel, prophecying abroad to the Romans like that turn coat the Apostle Paul did. I was never convinced about the virgin Mary though, always felt she was more style over substance. And dont even get me started on Judas, anyone that turns his back on the club which invested so much time and effort into him for an extra 30 pieces of silver a week is just a greedy, money grabbing c*nt.

Thats is probably one of my top 3 most embarassing moments as a Saints fan, utterly cringe worthy.

I think when Utd fans sing, "you only came to see Utd" the 20,000 regulars at SMS should also join in and sing it at the 8k or so part timers in the crowd.
-
Tell him if he is that desperate to see Man Utd then tickets at Old Trafford usually go to general sale so he should try there. Or alternatively get a sky sports subscription like 95% of them do.

One Harold Shipman, there's only one Harold Shipman SOuthampton gives thanks, coz he only killed Mancs Walking in a Shipman wonderland.

Striaght toss up between Wednesday and Huddersfield, our squad is far to weak for promtion, whereas they have signed players during the window.

I think we should make a triple swoop for 3 Dagenham and Redbridge players Damien Scannell - pacy wide man Stuart Thrugood - tough tackling CM player Josh Scott - goal scoring striker, scored 4 in Daggers 6-0 win over Morecombe All 3 are ideal signings as league one 4th choice cover players. Experienced league one player and the bonus that they wont expect to play to much and will cover the positions we need strengthening in. They'd probably be delighted just to be here. We could probably get them for £100k for the lot. -
No, he is wrong, we need to strengthen. I read that we did on here.
-
For Pompey last season they let you buy a ticket for other game (s) if you couldn't make the linked home game, i cant see why this would be any different.
-
dont even want to think what would happen if we lost jesus Christ or if he got injured, he's got easter coming up and that is a busy time for us, we aint going to get through it without him, if he is f*cked you can kiss easter and christmas goodbye and John the Baptist and virgin Mary just aint up to standard when it comes to being sons of god.
-
as long as they dont all get injured.
