this is a very good shout. Mrs T loves cooking, its a big passion so she'll quite often see a recipe and want to make it, then she'll go out and buy the ingredients sometimes it can be 40 or 50 quid which to me is insane. We've often argued about how ridiculous it is to do that, i dont mind now and again but when it's every week and sometimes more than once it becomes so expensive. On the whole food and drink has got crazy. Take aways for 3 of us are 40-50 quid, eating out even a shitty chain place like an All Bar One for a lunch and you're not far off 100 quid for a meal and drink each. I can see why Weatherspoons does so well often half the price and whilst the food isnt great its not that much worse to justify the crazy price difference.
