Signing a Japanese player and wearing red surely means Valenciennes are going to be massive in the far east moving forward, that’s not evening including the Honda factory news Great move SR 👏👏👏👏👏

Here they all are the one causing the controversy seems to be the one where she says about genes passed down and her genes/jeans are blue. the social warriors are having field day with it especially now trump has supported her I guess racism is above celebrating women in the woke league this week

Forgot the fact he’s a former player this would be a very good deal bringing him in as a squad player this year. Played 28 games in La Liga last season. my sources tell me Girona want him where he’s been on loan so unlikely unfortunately

The crowds for the Ryder cup are horrific absolutel helmets
-
He was very decent I believe we picked him up on a free after a trial period which is incredible that a player of that ability didn’t have a club.

I saw one of them this morning. if you really wanted to look for racism everywhere like some people do you possibly interpret it that way one of the arguments made was if they’d got a person of colour to do the advert instead it wouldn’t have been racist as it wouldn’t have had white supremacy undertones was quite frankly ridiculous.

Probably the most annoying time was when we were at dinner one evening. We were on one table in a fairly quiet place whilst the table adjacent to us was large group of Americans. About 6 adults and 5 kids aged between about 3 and early teenage. The three adult women were speaking ridiculously loudly and doing that whooping thing you mentioned constantly. one of the blokes kept randomly clapping. it didn't appear to be for any reason, would just sit there and start clapping for about 10 seconds, he must have done it about 6 times in an hour. The blokes were also screaming about "how to play ball, get them when their tired, that's ball and i love it" and all that bollocks, i was genuinely surprised none of the resturant staff told them to shut the fuck up as it wasn't a shitty buffet in an an all inclusive it was a decent al la carte place. Another time we were watching a singer in the bar and 3 American women sitting near the stage, one of them kept screaming "yeah, yeah, yeah" whenever a song she presumably liked started, it was so loud some times it was over the voice of the singer. The fact they can shout so loud is actually quite impressive, it's just a shame they do it so often in such inappropriate places.

hes not even a guy most would want playing for them in the championship at the moment

The super computer is predicting we will be champions! https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/25363322.supercomputer-predicts-southampton-win-championship-title/# should be in the things in life that annoy you thread but why are computers that predict football tables always labelled as super computers?

yep we offered him a new deal and he turned it down probably a shit one Rupert Lowe made that very patronising quote something on the lines of he could live like a king in his country for what we offered to pay him

According to transfer market net spend has been per season 22/23 -148m 23/24 + 165m 24/25 -80m 25/26 so far + 30m numbers are in euros so as of today net spend is -€30m since they arrived but we’ll bring in c80m from Dibling and Fernandes, plus some change for a few of the others Edozie, Aribo etc doubt we’ll spend more than 20m plus a few loans
-
well it looks like we’re going to be bringing in over £100m from transfer fees again which from Dibling and Fernandes alone will represent a profit of around £50m. We’ll probably break even ok Edozie and got better than we could have hoped for from Sulemana and TP so as a player trading company we are doing brilliantly

3 points behind but like I said Liverpool had won the league with weeks to spare, we had a great late run to push us into second. It wasn’t us and them going neck and neck for weeks with us slipping up.
-
They got absolutely battered in that game, another day United win that 5-0, they got lucky and nicked one with a penalty 10 minutes from the end. Rio Ferdinand ended up in goal for United. I seem to recall Man United getting denied at least two stonewall penalties too. One of those games where you just know their name was on the cup
-
I believe in 1984 we lost at home to Stoke who were later relegated. But in truth we were never really in the running for the title, Liverpool had won it weeks before the end of the season and we had a great run after the semi final defeat which meant we finished second place with a win on the last game of the season. we have a history of heroic failure when we have a chance of glory don’t we. It’s also typical of us that the 3 finals we’ve got to since our win we’ve played 3 of the best teams in the country at the time. Forest would win the European cup the next two seasons, Arsenal were around the invincibles era and Man United had Mourniho as manager still in his prime and Ibrahomovic up front, they also won the Europa league and qualified for the champions league that season, not quite Fergies United but still a very good team. Meanwhile when the skates get to a cup final they play a team who finished 12th in the championship 🙄

Match week 1 - let’s cook!

Edwards seems to be one of those players who is very high rated generally in football but seems to be struggling to find a spot for himself with us. It appears he’s going to be at best 4th choice centre back and 3rd choice as a CDM where I believe he played a bit for QPR
-
I didn’t realise your name was Nick Fisher
-
I don’t know about that but having been thrown into the first team of a struggling premier league side, who had a terrible season and being clearly out of your depth has got to have some impact. Thats the fault of the idiots who decided it was a good idea
-
I’m expecting a couple of permanent signings and some loans late in the window once we’ve got rid of those that want out. The squad is still too big despite the whinging about incomings. We need to sell first
-
Brownhill is available on a free and will surely be snapped up. For us I assume that position will depend on what happens with Downes. He was looking for a move and hasn’t played but if he now wants to stay then we don’t really need him
-
I would be getting Matt Ryan in on a free to compete with Baz this season. He’s v good at championship level and if we go up and Ramsdale comes back we’ve got some depth in the squad, if he doesn’t and we stay down we stick with Baz and Ryan and can bring in a young, hungry guaranteed to improver as third choice to replace McCarthy
