  1. some other advice i got was what did it start out as? Break it down into what was that stuff in it's orginal state. A chicken kiev for example, started life as a piece of chicken, some break crumb and garlic. A twix or packet of doritos, no one can tell you what they started as.
  2. It's factor for sure but i'm not sure it's as big a factor as is made out. I have coached kids football for years, my age group is U12 now so 11/12 year old boys but see kids regularly from U8s-U18s, they dont seem to be any different to any other kids at any time socially. I think a much bigger factor is social media and gaming, many of them spend hours and hours a day on their phones or playing on xboxes. Some parents have real issues getting their kids off them, some dont care and let them sit on them all day. To me that's a much bigger problem
  3. I'm genuinely shocked that they are giving anti-depressants to under 18 year old before they appear to address the underlying issues. I cant speak for other kids but the one i'm talking about has had a very privileged upbringing, spoilt beyond belief and also very immature for her age, she has no resilience to anything because she's never had to build it up. Any problems her parents fix it by throwing money at it, didn't like her school, sent her to private school, got a part time job, didn't like it so she quit and they upped her pocket money, started driving lessons bought her a £7k car that's just sat on the drive for 6 months as she's not passed her test yet. Now shes about to going out into the big wide world and has anxiety about it and depression. As for the kids i mentioned with autism and/or ADHD the kids are asking for it now because they seem to think it in some way justifies their feeling, emotions and behaviour and now that parents start to convince themselves too and look for signs in them. Johnny does this and he's got ADHD, so if i do this too means i must be, that sort of thinking Kids not being able to concentrate in school has been happening for 100s of years, pump the same kids full of processed shit and sugar it amplifies the problem x 100. People getting stress and anxious it totally normal, it goes back to our hunter gather DNA. Feeling weird as a teenage and a frigging adult is totally normal but rather than teaching kids that it's okay, that it's happening to everyone and this is how to deal with it we seem to have created a society where we need to give it a label and worryingly in some cases, medication. I also want to caveat the above by saying there are some genuine cases where these things are a condition and if you suffer from them it must be horrific. It's great that there is more awareness of them, but also that more and more people are using these conditions to justify normal emotions rather than learning how to deal with them we're putting labels on them, some people actually want to have this label.
  4. A well person is not a customer it’s a great business model. Have people in laboratories making food that has the perfect amount of sweetness, crunchiness and taste people keep coming back for more, meanwhile in a other laboratory other people are making tablets to fix the damage done by the first people to need to keep coming back for more, forever.
  5. The CoT has 100% hit rate you naysayer!
  6. Scott Marshall proves you both wrong
  7. hey, you clearly know nothing about soccerball
  8. And in that time we are the only team Tottenham have beaten, right?
  9. Three things have happened on this subject in the last few weeks. First off I have been told by parents of 3 different kids that their children are asking to be tested for autism or ADHD so they can have answers to why they feel like this. All of them pubescent or pre-pubescent boys. One of the parents is a bit like me and explained to his son in pretty clear terms he feels like this because he’s got hormones surging though his body and feeling strange is perfectly normal and that’s fine, the other two are now thinking their kids might be autistic and now appear to be looking for all the reasons as to why they might be 🤦 this week I had my wife auntie and her fella over for dinner, he’s a really good guy and we got onto the subject of teenage kids. He in his 70s now but said that his son at 10-12 was absolutely bonkers, moods all over the place, couldn’t sit still, once they stopped letting him have sweets every day his behaviour improved dramatically 🤔🤔🤔🤔 finally I’ve heard this week of a 17 year old girl I know who has been prescribed anti-depressants. Antidepressants at 17 FFS. she is and has always been a very spoilt princess. Everything been handed to her her all her life she didn’t like her school for example (best school in the area) so her parents put her in an £18k a year private school to do A levels rather than finding another state school, that level of spoilt. She has wealthy parents who treat her like a goddess. Always in designer clothes, had a fit because her mum refused to buy her a mulberry handbag!!! She is quite a sweet girl but is also very immature for her age, a young 17, doesn’t really do anything except go on about Taylor Swift. She’s just about to do her A levels. It’s a really bad combination. Im truly stunned that the NHS Doctor have, rather than tell her to get some hobbies and interests, get a part time job and build up a bit of resilience etc have decided the best option is to stick some pills down her throat setting her up for a lifetime of dependence. Very worrying trends here indeed.
  10. Wed need a plural for those t-shirts. We really could break numerous records this season. Perhaps to enhance the party atmosphere they could so the lap of hour to the tune of the old “record breakers” anthem from Roy Castles 1980s TV show
  11. I thought we were going to be unstoppable at home once we moved the away fans to the corner? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
  12. It is real and we can fix it, if people just pay more taxes. Did we ever fix the hole in the ozone layer? I guess so as no one talks about it anymore
  13. He’s been awful so far Hull done well so far, Rueben has improved them and guess what they’ve moved away from a possession based system
  14. yes there was forget his name, think he went back to Spain
  15. and now we have Taylor, Manning and Wellington who have a right back preferred over them. I'll cut Wellington some slack as he's just joined but really really poor.
  16. yes it was Jeff Kenna, we went 2-0 up early on, they equalised right at the end and we held on in extra time. Tim Flowers sprint from the Stretford End to our fans after saving the last penalty was brilliant, almost as Giggs missing after arrogantly walking to the penalty area doing keep ups with the ball.
  17. BBC News putting the storm in the north of Britain down to climate change not weather.
  18. depends how you look at it. We signed 3 young left backs for a combined fee of about £12m, only Larios played in the premier league and that was 3 years ago. Small left for nothing, Meghoma for about £5m and Larios is further away from the first team than he was when he joined. £12m could get you a half decent left back who would play.
  19. Gotzepe will love him
  20. if we use Archie Gray as our bench mark, one month between them. Gray cost £40m, he'd never played in the premier league plus a more defensive player. Dibling has proven he can do it in the premier league plus attacking players generally cost more. So you've got to be looking at north of £50m.
  21. Agree with what you say about Norris, but, it's them... Everton won the league and the cup winners cup the follow season so we'd have had a real chance of European glory the following season too if we'd have won the Cup, gutting but typical Saints, heroic failure same as 2017 final
  22. Zlatan, Adrian Heath and David Norris
  23. you have poked the snake now lads!
  24. Plenty of people guess the clues. In some clues the name have been given. For example Aaron Ramsdale, he was named inside a clue. We get lots of PMs from people with correct names for all clues they are often too scared to post on the main board for fear of the wrath of those suffering from saintsweb syndrome.
  25. Another myth. If it’s so hard in the championship with players getting smashed around why do physically smaller players like Adam Armstrong and Flynn Downes look like world beaters at that level then barely get a kick on the premier league? the difference is the defenders are just as strong and physical in both leagues but premier league they are quicker in mind and body, they smash you and they can play.
