Up and down. First game against Swindon I went to and were very good, won 3-0 and played well. Then lost 3-0 away Crewe, lost 1-0 home to Stockport in the cup and yesterday was meant to be a very dull 0-0. Made a lot of signings it’s pretty much a new team from last season, definitely needed freshening up but still need a striker. I didn’t go yesterday but Ramsey is said to have played well.

Yes we were interested in Ihenanacho when he was at City, never really quite hit the levels expected of him as so would be interesting if he were to come here. Doesn't have a particularly good goalscoring record, but then i think he's been in and out of the Leciester team.

I thought Salisu was meant to be quick? on one of the MOTD clips he looked like he was running with concrete boots on, Leeds player started about 10 yards behind him and still go to the ball ahead of him. I'm liking the fact we've got a bit more of a physical presence this season, Bella-Kotchap, Lavia, Aribo and Mara all look like units that are also mobile and can play, felt at times we've got buillied in the past, that wont happen with these boys there.

And as I said last Saturday you could basically pick the same that started the first game of last season then integrate the players that way. But we didn’t, we completely changed our system to basically accommodate one player who, in reality if Romeu had started instead of not one single fan would have said was the wrong decision.

Honestly I think it’s an excuse. From the squad from last season we’ve lost a goal keeper, a loan player and a last minute sub striker who scored one goal every 30 games. Everyone else is the same. We could basically field the same team which started last season with the same system and formation and integrate the new players that way of there really is this issue of not giving too many their debut. Would anyone have moaned if Romeu and started ahead of Lavia last week? our three debutants one was a keeper another’s last game was a European cup final, it’s an excuse IMO that the system chose has been a disaster just like last time it was tried

Either you trust the players or you don’t. As i above one of the debutants was a goal keeper the other a 26 year old Whose last game was a European cup final. So we completely changed our system which as Ralph says “is our DNA” to accommodate Lavia, who looked a class player whatever formation we play. Sorry lighthouse but it just doesn’t stack up, it’s bollocks.

strange. Why not play that way and integrate the player into the system rather than change the system to integrate the players?

Completely agree he doesn’t seem to like the formation but he’s tried it many times before and Brentford have played it before and since suggest it’s not imposed on him by the leaders. I don’t really get the comments about intergrating news players by playing 3-5-2 of the three new players one was a goal keeper and the other was an attacking midfielder who ended up playing up front, not sure how it helps them at all how changing your preferred system.

Brentford definitely played 3 at the back at the start of last season. I checked some of their early fixtures by but they also did today and then of last season and chief rolled up sleeves had been long gone. So I’m not convinced its been forced of him, remember he did try this before and didn’t we play it the first game of the season after playing it all pre season and lost 3-0 to Burnley were shit and immediately dropped it? I’m included to think he wants to move in that direction as not his first shot at it

By all accounts lucky it was 4, plenty said that was only because spurs took their foot off our necks. Could easily have been 6 or 7 maybe worse.

How many times does Valery have to prove he’s not a premier league level player? He was supposedly good enough to start last week away at spurs but didn’t get a minute today against Leeds. as I said credit for the changes but really, how many times do the same players doing the same things making the same mistakes before we fuck them off?

Bella-Kotchap is clearly miles better than Valery, that must have been obvious all preseason Adams didn’t get a look in last week yet played the full 90 today Mo for Aribo was a weird one as well he changed it today so all credit it too him, the question had to be asked as to why those players and those tactics were there in the first place

Very risky ball. 8/10 that doesn’t come off and we lose the ball. I’d hope he now spends a bit of time on the training ground learning our way of checking back and passing sideways or backwards to a team mate rather than playing risky balls like that.

What sort of club would spend big money on a striker only to sack their manager a few games later? 🤔

His points return is actually worse. Pellegrino had 9 draws 1 win and 7 losses Ralph only had 1 win, 3 draws in his 15 game run.

Just to put our current form into perspective Pellegrino who everyone hated and thinks was one of the worst managers we’ve ever had was sacked after a run of one win in seventeen games. Ralph is currently at one win in fifteen….

Hmm, 8-10 goals per season. Not bad, better than we’ve had for a while. Price in our range. Could do worse
