I admire your optimism!

I’m playing in a golf competition thankfully so won’t know the score until I’ve finished. In fact I should make it to the bar just in time for final score 🤣
-
We’ve got two proven championship strikers who will tear the league up. Add Tella on and smallbone. And we’re alright in attacking midfield too. Perrard and Livramento to stay. wed bring in loads of money from ABK, KWP, JWP, Salisu and Lavia.

You mean he's gone into hiding after a bad week where he was wrong time and again, we all know that he doesn't cope well with being
-
I cant be arsed to look.

19 goals between them last season. Plus we've added Aribo this season who looks likely to get 6-8. So that's not true.
-
So what's your point then? All players you list are midfielders or wingers. Brighton doing well without a recognised quality striker, but we cant possibly do well because we dont have one. "bound to effect the teams performance and mean the manager will struggle to find the right formation" you said. You've just lost your own argument, not for the first time!
-
he's certainly got every chance, consistently over 3 seasons really, but his dad has already said he wants to test himself in all the top leagues so doubt he'll be here any longer than that.
-
if he scores 9 he goes level with last seasons total to win the golden boot!!!
-
The Kruger/Reed school of leadership. Remember the famous quote about Pellegrino? Every time we thought about sacking him he got a positive result. Absolute nonsense way of doing things.
-
Are they? Brightons recognised striking options are Denis Undaz - never scored a premier league goal, spent last season on loan in Belgium where he scored 8 times Julio Encisco - Never even started a premier league game let alone scored in one Danny Wellbeck - scored less goals than Che Adams in the last 3 seasons They have other players who are wingers/attacking midfielders who can chip in with goals like Troussard does but that's their 3 strikers. Those 3 strikers are certainly worse options on paper than our 3. But Brighton seem to have found a way of doing well without that much sought after recognised goalscorer every single clubs needs.
-
corrected it for you. Rest of your post i entirely agree with.
-
It isnt the faliure to sign a striker thats the cause of the lack lustre performances, slack defending, constant chopping and changing of the players, ditching the formation we played for the whole of preseason after one and a half league games.
-
Brighton seemed to do alright for goals this season despite selling Maupay starting with Danny Wellbeck up front on saturday who has scored less than Adams the last three season.
-
these 3 are the most likely IMO.
-
Im not so sure. Semmens appears to have been instrumental in bringing them in so probably kept his role as part of that deal. When he first took over from Kruger he was quite popular, talked a lot of sense and was a breath of fresh air after 4 years of Krugers bullshit and cliches, his stock among the fans seems to have fallen though recently for no real reason. If you ignore the noise he's not done a bad job, really dont get why fans dont like him. Yes he's a bit of a silver tongued businessman type without a football background but that's the reality of modern football ownership.
-
He’s also acting as a mentor to Truss
-
I’m sure they are which is why I asked the question.
-
Calm down sunshine. I hope we win and I hope Ralph turns it round I don’t think he will but I’d never go into a game hoping we get another embarrassing thrashing. Just asking the question.
-
Who would take another 9-0 if it meant Ralph was sacked?
-
IIRC adkins was sacked when we were 15th and that was where we finished. Clearly Pochetino was a far better manager but Adkins had turned it round after an awful start and we were doing alright. You’re right about Di Matteo and Cortese had actually wanted rid of Adkins after we lost against Reading in the championship which effectively cost us the title.

To be honest in my defence at the time I was going through an anyone but Liverpool stage, his (non blood related) uncle is a Liverpool fan, when I say fan I mean watches all their games on telly and repeats the shite spouted about how great they are that he hears on sky, and was pushing that down on him so it was a defensive reaction.

That’s the problem with the I demand entertainment wallies. Selective memories. The stuff being served up now is not only boring and shit it’s also end of last season and start of this our worst run of results since returning to the premier league. Worse than Hughes, Pellegrino and miles worse than Puel. No way is it “just as bad” no way, it’s miles miles worse.

Yes I do! I tested positive on Friday, not a bad idea that….

Honestly it was brilliant tag selling, it was my own fault I suppose, he asked for a city shirt to “remember his first away game by” didn’t check the prices thinking small kids shirt, £35 tops, they asked at the till if he wanted to add shorts and socks, which of course he did, they then said you can add your favourite players name if you want, he was only 6 and didn’t know any city players so they just went through them until they got to De Bruyne which of course he said “yes him” thank you sir £90 please want to add yourself to our mailing list? If saints did more of that rather than just grunt at you they might do a bit better
