My favourite Shane Long moment, Anfield away, scoring and celebrating right in front of us My second favourite Shane Long moment v Chelsea it home when Mark Hughes was manager. A cross came in and Shane got a shot away from the tightest of angles that looped over their keeper and hit the bar in what looked an outrageous piece of skill. What actually happened was he’d miss hit the shot onto his standing leg which had spun up into the air and onto the bar cant fault the guy for his effort and professionalism you need players like that at the club. Not the best player but an example to others. Will miss him.

My mate saw him at a concert last week, he’s not a saints fan but said he was acting like an absolute cock and his missus kept apologising to people for his behaviour

Never mind the kit, this bold and brave stuff is the biggest load of nonsense i ever seen, we Pay someone to come up with this crap

Not really. We had some experienced players like Kelvin Davis, Chris Perry, Skacel, JP Saejis, Wright Phillips, Wotton, Euell and Saganowski all played more than 20 games. Of the youngsters who played regularly Lallana and Schniderlin who went onto to play for Liverpool and Man U plus a Mcgoldrick and Surman who also had decent championship careers and played quite a few premier league games. there were a few duds in there, Lloyd James was awful and played 40 odd games, Olly Lancashire and the world class Ryan Smith, Gillet was hard working but not quite up to it. It’s a it of a myth we played the season with a load of kids, we had a lot of kids in our squad that season but most of them only played a handful of times, the only ones who played more than 25 games but didn’t have a decent career at champship level or above was Lloyd James We were skint with a crap team with a crap manager full of has Beens, never gonna he’s with a a few decent kids who weren’t ready for championship football at that time.

premier league winning England international with over 500 professional appearances. Part of the great squad they secured 10th place for us in 2000/01 season. Legends come in all shapes and sizes. One man’s legend is others usless prick

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool
Turkish replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
How do you know when you’re rating them on your game? -
The Ripley kit. Brings back great memories of him marauding down the wing, crossing for Uwe Rosler. With Mark Draper pulling the strings in midfield. bledilis proving the squad depth we’ve not had since

Ralph’s runts
-
Hopefully he’ll be full of self righteous indignation about wearing a gambling company on his shirt and refuse to sign for us. It’s what a lot of our fans would want
-
Two maybe even three strikers depending on what happens with Long and Armstrong. Plus a couple of decent attacking midfielders. Lots of work to be done yet.
-
You mean the same fans who claims Howe can’t spend money look at how he got Bournemouth relegated with his terrible signings but also claim Howe only kept Newcastle up because he had money. We do have a lot of odd fans, the camera on the stand at a games looks like someone’s opened the trap door
-
That would be class if he did that.
-
Just as well you can’t read them then as I’m on ignore…..
-
Ralph does seem to be my way or the highway. Him and Rohl didn’t fall out but he agreed with the decision for him to leave. Put it that way. the thing about him is though is if you’re smashing it out of the park as a manager you can get away with it, Fergie used to always fall out with players but no one was going to argue he was usually right.
-
Put it this way, you’d be fired for doing what he did in any role. It’s not illegal but most companies would fire someone immediately, his exit was manufactured, hence the gap between him leaving and stating his new role.
-
No, Rohl was a snidely little fucker and got caught out doing something he shouldn’t…

Just listened to Linekar on the high performance podcast with Jake Humphries the words he uses are “had I not been good at sport life would have been very different. I think I would have been bullied at school they were marginally that way anyway as a tiny geeky kid with darkish skin pretty much racist abuse although I’m as English as they come” so he wasn’t bullied at all, he thinks he would have been if he wasn’t good at sport 🤣
-
I reckon they’ll give him to the World Cup, will be a what 12 games or so and then gives a new guy plenty of time to come in and work with the players if they pull the trigger.

I went to see the eagles on Monday. I’m not a massive fan but Mrs T and some of our friends are. I have to say they were bloody brilliant, they’re in their mid 70s as well. Compare that to how Phil Collins is now, some friends went to see him and said it was tragically bad, can barely sing now, sat in a chair all the way through. Really sad to see and for once I agree with Soggy, Paul McCartney was great last night. watched a bit of Noel Gallagher he was good but the version of Whatever they did was awful, a brilliant song that he made sound like a crap school production version

Yep heard the same. And it’s a long way back once you’re out of favour
