  1. Maybe if he wants to be still be a footballer he should go but not his fault and doesn’t have to unless it’s rotgut for him. People forget players have families too, maybe his kids are settled at school and like where they live, maybe he doesn’t want to move to anoter area and there are bigger balls ups. Ellyanoussi, Hoedt, Forster, Carillo which is the worst, most expensive and strongest singing ever.
  2. I Good shout, if he can run with the ball and pass it why not give him a go as a winger. He can’t be any worse than the Moroccan Norwegian and as he’s alright in the air he might get on the end of a few crosses too. Think outside the box, that’s what we want to see.
  3. Will Smallbone - we have the perfect song which any courteneers fans on here will know, their song Small Bones we could also squeeze in a Pompey reference as it actually goes with the tune. Smallbone, Hates Pompey Will smallbone
  4. Ridiculous team. Far too lightweight in in the middle. That team would get torn to pieces by a quick, strong midfield and attack. I would say as important as a decent centre back is a proper defensive midfielder in the wanyama mould to sit in front of them.
  5. Nothing. A younger me wouldn’t have listened or believed it anyway.
  6. Good luck to the lad. Shame it never worked out for him a move probably best for all concerned.
  7. At least 3 of those are likely to go in the next couple of weeks.
  8. He’s obviously a really good player. The truth is he’s only really shown it on a few occasions for saints. You look at his history and he’s only played more than 25 games twice in a season one of those was for us. He’s 26 in a few weeks some coming into his prime. He could go on to a bigger club like arsenal or united and be a real success and all the helmets on here will be bemoaning our lack of ambition for not keeping him or equally he could carry on like the last 6 years of his career where he plays 50% of matches a season and plays at the top of his ability in 5% of those. Either way he isn’t what we need and we aren’t what he needs, good luck to him at his next club, I hope he fulfills his undoubted ability but I have a feeling he won’t.
  9. Shane Longs in the 6-1 win against villa
  10. The player has to want the move though. Think about it for a second, out of the 20 premier league clubs how many have a first choice keeper that Forster would replace either permanently or on loan? Possibly the 3 promoted teams but it's hard to see that Forster is better than any of the other 17 first choice keepers, certainly not enough of an improvement to pay a transfer fee and his huge salary anyway. So that leaves championship clubs which would mean a huge drop in salary for a move or high subsidised wages for a loan. Or there is a move abroad, again a drop in wages or subsidised for a loan, but maybe the player doesn't want to move overseas, for whatever reason. You cant just force a player to leave despite what some of the loons think Les Reed used to do. People go on about players not honouring their contracts but it works the other way too.
  11. Agreed. International right back, 27, 4 years premier league experience, on year left on his contract so will available for a knock down fee. Thought there’d be a lot of takers.
  12. Realistically this is just a modern day version of the emperors new clothes. Most of us could see It for what it is and that most of the teams would have lost to a reasonably good u15 boys team but we are socially obliged to fawn over if all making out the public have fallen in love with the woman’s game and it really is so much better and more popular than Sunday morning pub level. Obviously that will upset a few people but no point pretending, which is what those that ram it down everyone’s throats does. I suppose those for will say that it’ll get more girls playing football which if it gets them off their phones taking photos of themselves with cats ears for social media can only be a good thing and the competition can he lauded as a triumph.
  13. Ohhhhhhhh Ross Wilson went to Sheffield to buy some Sheffield steel Instead he saw them coming and sold them Charlie for 8 mil He sells players all the day and he sells them all the night And when he shafts another club we’ll sing this song all night Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  14. Ross Wilson is a genius Totally mugged the city of Birmingham. Given them our reserve left back and signed their prized possession and made a profit. Les taught him well.. Ohhhhhhh Ross wilson went to brum to by a Range Rover Instead he saw them coming and bent them all right over
  15. Stig Johansen? Was our big signing that summer c97 and was awful.

    Che Adams

Welcome saint Che. Can’t wait to see you scuffing goals exactly into the bottom corner of the net week after week for us.
  17. Which completely contradicts what they said when Reed left, that they would employ more than one person in that role, when in fact they’ve got rid of two and not replaced either. I would assume that there will be another tier of management in place as this is a board structure so perhaps there will be a new management structure underneath the leaders of the business driving the strategy forward. The manager certainly has more of a say now than in previous set ups, well since Koeman anyway, where Les was running the show. So it does appear we’ve moved away from the coach model to a more traditional manager, which isn’t a bad thing if you’ve got a good one and he sticks around.
  18. We’ve gone from Nick Nack to Odd Job.
  19. Made a name for himself spending lots of money signing lower league strikers who scuff all their shots apparently.
  20. Yes, late 90s. He was awful, not Lee Todd awful but pretty bad. The worst centre back I’ve ever seen at saints was a player most wont remember called Scott Mashall. Dave Jones signed him from arsenal for about £500k, he was considered a bit of a coup. He played two games for us we conceded 9 goals in those games, he scored two own goals and I don’t think he ever played for us again, he made Steven Caulker look like Bobby Moore.
  21. If we'd have have signed him when we should have and also managed to tie the deal up for Maddision last summer when we were in for him we'd have a great chance of winning the netspend trophy again this summer. As it is Chelsea are off to a flyer and I fear we wont catch up.
  22. Man City and United both trying to sign Harry McGuire for £90m. Anyone on here still think jack Stephens is better?
  23. Don’t worry about it our fans will get it wrong and come up with some wacky nickname for him anyway. Moose Djenepoo if he’s not brilliant after 2 games. The Malian Jonathan Forte apparently.

    Che Adams

You don’t half come out with some nonsense.
  25. Turkish

    Che Adams

Quite. To put things into perspective, despite Fitzhugh Fella obsession with championing Gallaghers cause Che Adams scored more goals last season than Gallagher has in his entire career. Also despite his claims that Gallagher kept Adams out of the side when they were both at Birmingham Adams scored more goals than Gallagher that season too (9 in all competitions v Gallaghers 7, from one less game) If neither player played for us I know which one i'd want to sign.
