He signed for them in January so could move again in the summer if needed. Makes sense for Spurs as they would make a bit of profit on him. otherwise there isn't much point him being here, and his loan could have been terminated mutually. Also, if there was no long term plan why play him in these games where he is stopping one of our players from playing?

Reckon we might sign Falque from Spurs in the the summer on a perm deal. His loan would make more sense then. Clearly has talent too...

Clearly long term Adkins will want a keeper comfortable with the ball at his feet like Reina or Vorm...

Martin didn't figure much in our early form. Seaborne played the matches in August until Jos arrived. Martin played mostly during the poor spell (not that he is to blame for that).

Would appear that we won't get anyone in and can understand why we feel we don't need to - some very good players are not even making the bench. I think we could absorb injuries in most areas, obviously if RL got injured it would be a blow but we have other good strikers. However, if Fonte or Hooiveld got injured now and were out for the season or for 5 games I think it would be a massive blow. Not only as defenders but as the first point of our attack. Martin is a solid defender but lacks composure on the ball. I wouldn't like him to be playing any crucial matches, he is still learning and has potential but is a way off Jose and Jos at the moment. Likewise could we expect Jaidi and Seaborne to come in for their first games of the season and be able to cope well enough? We are in such a strong position we should do all we can to get promoted, and for me we are still a CB light. If we can get someone in til the end of the season then we should. Thoughts?

Barnard below Lambert, Lee, Sharp, Guly and Connolly for me and therefore won't be on the bench at Millwall, and quite possibly has played his last minutes for Saints this season and maybe for good? Sounds dramatic but possibly true?

Not sure he is any better than Martin.

Is this his best spell of performances for Saints? Has been class for a while now and first choice central midfielder for me.

Lee deserves to start IMO.

Adkins says Lallana was flying in training today. I saw Fox in the footage too joining in with everyone else so maybe he will be fine. Didn't see Lee, maybe he had a knock when he came off at HT.

Anyone else suprised the squad only flew to Leeds at lunchtime today? Seems odd to fly just hours before the game? We looked very tired! Great win though now need 6 points from the home games now!

Puncheon would be fine there vs Leeds, yesterday wasn't a ball on the deck kind of game. Earlier in the season when AL was out Chaplow played well from the left and got a few goals so Guly or Puncheon or de Ridder could play right and Chaplow left. So even if AL did miss Leeds we have options....and the man himself doesnt seem concerned by his injury...
