Also who has said he was ****? I didnt in the OP and thats the problem. As Torres said, why should he be given loads of time when DMG last season was hated yet he scored goals and created some of them for himself. Saga is a pale imitation of the player we signed. He doesnt want to be here according to his website and offers nothing to the team even in league one. Why the patience with him? He will never play well for us and needs to move on. Its best for us and him.

Just can't believe people still rate him after 2 years of doing nothing. He is obviously a sound player technically but shows no urgency or desire to actually affect the game! As for Papa on the wing, why play him there? Have him where his pace will 2use the most problems and where he doesn't have to track back. Lambert wins all the flick ons but Saga doesnt get onto them. I think Papa would.

A dive apart did absolutely nothing. Hasn't scored for ages and doesn't look like scoring as he doesn't get into any good positions. No pace, no creativity, no class. Waigo did more in 15mins than Saga has all season. No wonder nobody wanted to take him off our hands. And to think he has been paid a f*****g fortune by Saints in the last few years.

Saga was pretty poor I though. Certainly a shadow of the player hat joined us 3 years ago. Not really worth a place in the team IMO. No pace, no desire, no class, no creativity. Waigo did more in 15mins than Saga in the whole time he was on the pitch. IMO we should bring in a pacy or left winger (Gradel?) and play Papa up front where he will create the havoc needed for lambert (whose every touch was class) to get more scoring chances.

Not sure how serious it is though. Elliott has always been a good player, nice to see him doing well.

Also Papa seems to have a lot of confidence and self belief which is definately a good thing.

Surman has come on as a sub a few times but now has a knee injury.

Shut the pub if they can't control things after games, or ensure they employ more security staff to stop things like this. It's not the first time and won't be the last.

Because the fans (most anyway) are excited by him. He is a bit different to what we have and judging by his cameo looks exactly what we need. Its fine to be excited about a player, afterall isnt that why we go to football matches? Pardew is handling him well but there is every reason to be excited by him. Nobody thinks he is Ronaldo but he looks a good player for this level.

Thought he was good TBH. Seems a bit of a character, chased defenders and got straight up when flattened. But he is the good bit. Unlike our other players he ran in behind, ran straight at defenders committing them with his pace and was running towards the goal. Very encouraging, he seemed to have a good first touch too. Also a couple of the offsides were very tight and think one the players get used to his runs and release the ball earlier he will be very dangerous.

Saga didnt offer much and Lambert and Papa looked a much better partnership. I liked how direct Papa was, running at and commiting defenders with his pace. Once the others get used to his runs he will be a potent weapon! Special mentions to Lambert, who showed class with every touch and Hammond who was everywhere and offers a lot defensively+ in attack. I would make him captain, nothing against Davis but to have an outfield player leading on the pitch!

Oh and Marshall the quick winger was signed from Eastleigh last summer!

Good that Papa, Jaidi and Holmes got good minutes on the pitch and a "debut" goal for Papa will have done his confidence no harm.,

Will be good to hear people's accounts who are at the game.

Got to be as MLG said. Play Papa up front where he doesn't have to track back and can use his pace in the most dangerous areas.

Lambert and....surely not no goal Saganowski? We have been crying out for pace up front for ages. We need more movement and general threat up there. All the teams we struggle against have pacy strikers yet we always seem to have one paced guys who do alright but can't go past a man.

We need his pace up front. No point sticking him out on the wing where he will get kicked out of the game.

Would be a big lift if Papa was even just on the bench. Papa is a possibility for Saturday but will be touch and go.

Agreed. Certainly at home. He could be much more effective down the middle rather than stuck out wide. Have to see where he is most suited though.
