  1. Well unless they are completely stupid I'm sure they know how to turn the negativity into positivity yet 'for several years' they have been unable to.
  2. We seem to be blessed with many people who talk a good game which begs the question why do the team so rarely play a good game? Maybe the old adage that talk is cheap is spot on.
  3. You need to specify which season you think this promotion will be achieved.
  4. Maybe change their name to Sports Repub-team-lic
  5. The sort of book that once you put it down you can't bring yourself to pick it up again.
  6. He was introduced to Rasmus.
  7. Well if you read my posts regularly you would soon find out that I am very even handed. When the team is playing well I speak as I find and will praise the coach and players. Equally, when they are serving up what we've witnessed for the last 4 games I will be critical. Sitting on the fence is boring. Comment on what is being served up, good or bad. I'd rather it was all good but we've been hopeless on and off for far too long now. Sorry if it offends you - maybe put me on ignore.
  8. Lots of sense in this post.
  9. Must be for kicking the ball away or back chatting to the ref because our lot don't put in enough meaty tackles to warrant yellow cards.
  10. Yes, all those managers we hounded out and who were immediately snapped up by other clubs. I see where he's coming from.
  11. Maybe that's because literally everything at the club is being badly run- or perhaps you think we're being run like a well oiled machine.
  12. Watched Casemiro's performance tonight for Man Utd and suggest RM gets our midfielders to watch a video of the game to see how it's done. He did everything our midfielders don't and, love or loathe him, he was a pleasure to watch. Nothing spectacular but he was always finding space to receive the ball, moving it on then dropping into another pocket of space. He completely ran the game against Palace, scored and had an assist. I don't expect our players to get anywhere near his levels but surely they can watch someone like him and learn to improve.
  13. We don't have a single player you'd want in the trenches with you. Not one who you could rely on to put his head on the line, fight til his last breath and give his absolute all rather than meekly surrender and accept defeat. Every one of them looks as though they are quite happy to leave it to someone else, there is a lack of passion, drive, commitment, will to win and balls. I watch other sides and most of their players are fighting for the shirt, going all out for the win and not accepting defeat. Our lot shrug their shoulders and make a token effort. If WGS was in charge he'd be going red in the face screaming at these numpties to put in some tackles, run themselves ragged and earn their money. RM does nothing from the technical area and then makes excuses for them and himself when we lose. As another poster is fond of reminding us and is spot on...too many sons-in-law.

  15. We were led to believe he'd be living out of a suitcase and clocking up air miles as he scoured the globe for the talented footballers who would enhance our squad. Yet we signed not one player from abroad and most we did bring in were already known to either RM or JW. More money for old rope by the looks of things.
  16. You're clutching at more straws than a scarecrow knocking one out.
  17. I'm beginning to suspect that RS realise themselves how utterly incompetent they are. They'll never admit it of course but even they can't be so stupid that it hasn't dawned on them by now. As such perhaps they have decided to stick with RM because he is the type of yes-man who won't question them or rock the boat and, if they were to sack him, they'd only replace him with someone of a similar ilk. Could it be that they appoint managers on the basis that they are submissive and will not seek to challenge the constant poor decisions made by SR? I accept this sounds like total madness - it probably is but I'm just trying to fathom out what is going on at our great football club.
  18. One of Ankersen's maxims that he thinks is so hip and clever is to say 'if it aint broke, break it'. Well, we were broke last year so why has he decided to break us again?
  19. Nah - only for the long suffering, loyal fans who are the real losers in this whole sorry charade.
  20. Giles was the brains behind the rise of Brentford not Ankersen.
  21. Transitional year...scar tissue.....fans unease transferring to players.....it's all just variations of a theme but in reality it's a load of excuses used by a manager who knows he is way out of his depth.
  22. It all comes across as being much too much of a friendly environment. I can't imagine any real bollockings being handed out to players, manager or coaches even when things are so bad and major mistakes are being made every week. The impression I get is that it's probably all largely ignored and swept under the carpet with blind eyes being turned because nobody has the courage or the balls to stand up and say what is going wrong. Oh for a character like Stevie Williams who would have no issues with standing up, facing people and reeling off what was going wrong and the names of those who were the cause for not pulling their weight. All we hear is that the mood in the camp is good, we've had another fantastic week of training and everything will be ok in the end. Training is probably nothing too taxing or physically gruelling, nothing to upset the poor little lambs. Time to ditch the laid back attitude that consumes the club - no more Mr Nice Guy, let's get someone in with a bit of nous and balls of steel who won't be afraid to put a few noses out of joint - literally if needed!
  23. I think you'll find you're well past the cooling off period.
  24. The problem we have is that the very clever Rasmus Ankersen believes if it aint broke it should be broken. Trouble is, we are broke and I've not heard what his solution for that is. I'm sure he'll have one and it'll be very left field.
  25. Begs the question why those clever clever people like Ankersen and JW got this appointment so wrong. Somehow they've managed to miss some pretty damning evidence and some glaring clues that clearly pointed to the fact that RM would be a disaster. You'd think Ankersen having screwed up by appointing Jones would be a huge wake-up call and lessons would be learned. But no, after a brief spell of Selles, here we are again. The sheer incompetence is quite staggering.
