We did exactly the same a year later when we sent Millwall down
-
I hope this isn't a serious post

Merson is a dribbling mess who hasn't got a clue about anything. One of the worst managers of all time. His opinion is worthless.
-
Yeah because they never hear that anywhere else do they. The majority of United's away support actually comes from Manchester anyway. Quality away supporters who will no doubt outsing us yet again.

Jason Puncheon "does not cut the mustard" for me
Papa Shango replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
I wonder how many people on here who say he is arrogant and has an attitude problem have actually ever met him, or know the full extent of what's gone on? Have always backed him and will continue to do so. Great player -
Anyone who doubts Kelvin should just go back and watch this Has been consistently brilliant since 2008 and will prove all the doubters wrong yet again this season
-
Pleased with all the guys we signed, but can't help but feel slightly disappointed we didn't sign another CB. Think if we had secured another top quality centre-back we would have pretty much guaranteed survival. Pressure now on Yoshida to deliver.
-
This. Miles better than the likes of Guly, Puncheon and Chaplow.
-
Can't believe some are writing him off. A lot better than what we've already got.

Benayoun would be class

Braga are in the Champions League

Tancredi Palmeri: Official:Ramitez signs for Southampton
-
http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/southampton-ramirez-ha-firmato/ White smoke. Gaston Ramirez signed with Southampton, the decisive step. Now, for the official, missing only the exchange of documents between Bologna and the English club. Then, Ramirez parties can finally go in the Premier

We really aren't. It will still most likely happen, but even if it doesn't we won't become a laughing stock. Every club in the country have deals that break down. What a hysterical post.
-
Do you seriously believe we've wasted weeks of negotiations just to create a smokescreen?
-
Still think it will happen. Bologna probably leaked this story to hurry us along
-
Saints players are boozed up in 90 Degrees all the time.
-
None of the players that played on Saturday were going to travel up to Stevenage. He's an idiot for what he did, but he's not the first and won't be the last.
-
Better than most on our team. Did you not see some of his crosses, like the one to Lambert just before the Wigan goal? The important thing is Adkins rates him, and I trust his opinion over the idiots in the crowd who get on his back. Most people who don't like him don't know their arse from their elbow.
-
Anyone who blames just Guly is out of order. He was one of our better players, put in some decent crosses. Made some mistakes, but no more than anyone else. We were always going to have days like this in our first season back. Will take a while to adjust to Premier League life, but I've still got faith. Just remember how far we've come over the past 3 years
-
Surely we need a LW more than we need a RW? Lallana has moved to the middle now and Rodriguez is better suited up front. That leaves who exactly? Guly, Puncheon, Chaplow, De Ridder, Cork and Schneiderlin all did well on the right at points last season. Granted a couple of them might not be up to it now, and Cork and Schneiderlin will mostly play through the middle, but we're certainly looking a lot stronger on that flank than we are the opposite. Don't get me wrong I'd welcome a new RW, but the left is more of a priority (I assume that's where we are planning to play Ramirez if he signs).
-
Lambert up front, Guly to the right, Puncheon to the bench. Otherwise keep it the same.
-
Expect this one will drag on until next week, possibly even until deadline day. Would be surprised if he's still at Bologna come September 1st.
-
Think that's exactly what Bolongna are trying to do. As long as nobody else comes in with a mega offer I think we'll still sign him. Bologna seem keen to sell.
-
Transfers are extremely complicated, a lot of clubs have had trouble signing players they want this summer. Nothing to do with Cortese. The fact that we've convinced the player to join us is an achievement in itself.
