I'm going, mainly to check out the view from my new season ticket position, familarise myself with surroundings. Plus want to see how the sash looks in the flesh.
  2. Collected mine at the stadium yesterday, and they informed me it was too close to the season to be sending any tickets out via post.
  3. Any news on the stadium updates for the new year? Anyone had a snoop around inside yet?
  4. Oh well, those unique qualities were behind my decision to move. Bring on the Devil's Pitchforks.
  5. Bought one today, only £36 with the 10% off voucher in the back of the season ticket. It's alright, smart enough. It does seem as if the cut/sizing is a little tight, as I have L, and that was pushing it. Shouldn't really be either. The Home kit is completely sold out in L and XL, (XXL as well I think) at the ground and in West Quay. Must be selling well, and suggests the sizes might be a little smaller, as these are above average sizes which are usually top sellers.
  6. Got mine today, moved from Kingsland North to Block 41 Northam, as now be going on my own as the old man has decided enough is enough. I think I am just old enough to go on my own (at 26), I hope those Northam boys are a friendly bunch !!!!
  7. Is Adam Lallana on the trip? No picture of him and no picture in the kit launch too (as someone mentioned previously). Hmm ?! Might just ask official Saints on twitter, while I am at it?
  8. I get absolutely frustrated to the point of anger that people have over 200/300/400 posts on here and haven't bothered to look into the clubs past, or our kids that are faceless internet posters. Terry Paine is a Saints great and we all should be proud her was in the '66 squad, one of England (and Saint's proudest moments) Save your money on paying for a name on the back of your replica jersey and buy some of the quality history books produced by the club and its official historian. Sorry for the outburst, I just feel the young wave of fans we now see think the club began at the 2003 cup final and hope it wil again come the 2012 premiership season.
  9. Lampard was a disgrace.
  10. SPRANG TO MIND !!! Them tune for the rest of the season !!!!
  11. I can not stand this kind of thread every week. I went to every home game and most away games pre february 26th, when I had the chance to work abroad for 4 months, which I think any Saints fan would do, if they had the opportunity. I never realised to most Saints fans, it is incredulous that you would put a once in a life time chance to see Asia three months of 3rd division football. Yes, I am gutted I missed Wembley, but I paid for my season ticket and now my Father sits happpily in my season, keeping it warm for next year. Can people please just concentrate on what they are doing, fans come in various guises.
  12. I'm in Saigon, but have just watched a Ronnie Ekelund compliation on youtube. Still ranks in my top 5 all time saints players ... I still have my Ronnie Ekelund T-Shirt I bought for £5 from Pirate Paul's(?! maybe Pete ?!) stall at the dell too, I was about 12.
  13. Having lived in Scotland for a few years, 75% of the fan base of the Old firm support gets to and from games in exactly the way proposed in this thread(usuallly buses are named after former players 'I got the Tommy Burns IV to a couple of hoops games' . Small groups organise buses (sometimes linked to season tickets and pubs) and it works a treat. Drinking, pub stops, blokes having a laugh are all part of the culture and I'd love to see Saints doing this!!! I'd be so happy with a Winchester stop and would commit over a season if required. Make it happen !!!
  14. Currently in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), and after surrendering my cup final ticket and season ticket to my Father I am now emotionally prepared to watch the game Sunday on TV. They have Super Sport (the South African network Terry Paine) works for over here, does any one from any country know if it is showing the match? PS Saigon Beer is 10,000 Dong a big bottle (30p)
  15. I'm in Chiang Mai (North Thailand) at the moment, but think I'll be somewhere in Phuket come final day, anyone else suggesting a bar that way let me know and I will join for a drink !!!
  16. Who's Brandfoot? Related to Ian Branfoot? Apologies for my pedantry.
  17. It got really embarrassing against Poopey, but at least we then are playing in the opposition teams half.
  18. Play him, sign him. Has huge potential (Although I didn't realise how easy that header was on Saturday in the first half that James saved, really should have buried it!!)
  19. We will beat Norwich, have a hunch.
  20. Exactly, in order for any of this to be relevant, Pardew needs to decide his team, and STICK with it. I'd suggest Saturday's with Puncheon and Fonte in.

    Trouble?

Watched the youtube footage of all the apparent 'violence', laughable. Handbags. Let's try not to be tough guys when you clearly aren't. The rivalry is passionate, but nothing of any note really took place.
  22. I don't think thst because he stayed with us, he should play every week. Loyalty is a rare and fantastic commodity in football now, but Kelvin's decision was based upon his own factors, will play every week here, good new contract, not up-rooting his family etc. Only a small percentage of that decision was down to a 'love of Southampton'. I think last year was fantastic, in a poor team (but he had a lot of practive). No player should be automatically in the side, every player must be judged on their current appearances and I believe Kelvin (at present, and only at present) is our second best keeper.
  23. I said to my Dad yesterday, that the difference was basically in the keepers, james made 3-4 quality saves and I don't think Kelvin made one. Not saying we could have a keeper of James' standard, but you expect a bit better from a keeper of your own. He also did not cover himself in glory on Tuesday either. Don't think Bart did a lot wrong when Kelvin was out, and I think it was a bit unfair directly replacing him.
  24. Correct me if I am wrong, but I was very disappointed with their support. Was in Kingsland North, and it was rocking. Any news of any unfortunate trouble so far after the game?
  25. Pardew is trying to create Lambert into a 'Le Tissier-Esque' folk hero at Saints, that is why he takes corners, free-kicks, penalties etc. Just as Matty did.
