Many things you can slam Ralph for but giving our entire club a strategic identity with the playbook is not one i can endorse. The under 18s were the southern champions and lost out to man city for the title. The B team after starting horribly finished 7th in their league. Its well known with changes like ours its not the 1st team or B team that we see the benefit of this playbook but its the under 12/14/16/18s who buy into the concept. Of course there is a lead time I would guess 3-5yrs but when those under 18s start pushing into the B team/1st Team we will start harvesting that fruit.

Ok unless I've missed it the only rumours we are seeing are JWP leaving and a goalkeeper coming in. So let me be the first to pluck some out of the air and say Noni Madueke or Cody Gakpo at PSV - both young attacking midfielders who are very technical, fast and score and assist. Gakpo especially is looking mustard and PSV like ourselves are up for selling (they are also looking at selling Sangarre who we couldnt sign cos of him being too cheap so we went to Diallo)

Since North Korea is out of the question i am all for putting our players in the middle of nowhere, no distractions, no bars etc just training, sleeping and trying to build some team spirit. If I could of got away with it as well I would of made them pay for it after their performances in 2022.

We need signings early as possible so they can get training ASAP and learn the approach etc, no messing this time, pay over the odds if needed for the player we want, just get them early, am sick of this 'they wont be ready for a couple of month's" bollocks.

Man some of the reactions on this thread are completely irrational, you would think we got relegated. We've spent no real money since Ralph has been here, we've stayed up each year, we have an overall plan for the club to play across the groups but currently do not have the players or quality to be effective across the entire season in that formation or any other in the 1st team. Also the owners are new so I am not sure how they are getting stick and our CEO etc have done a great job running a club on a shoestring. No matter how bad you think things are there are burnley/watford/norwich / championship/League 1 and 2 fans who would love to be in our shoes.

If McCarthey and his brick shaped foot is kicking out the ball in the 1st game of the season I will be very disappointed. For over 5yrs now we have had the worst goalies in the league, neither of them can kick the ball straight and aside from some freak patches of form they perform like stevie wonder is in our net.

hahaha port city to port city but this chap has bigger spending clubs interested - would be surprised to see him turn up in 1 of the manchester clubs. Honestly though I wouldnt have a clue which midfielders or attacking midfielders we could afford that would be an upgrade on what we have, the limit is of course my knowledge but there must be some quality players out there - we keep spending 10-15mil though on dare i say average ones.

Keep and get better inside forwards (redmond/armstrong/moi) to create chances on the transition - then judge. He is our only forward who wants to shoot a lot.

Ralph without Danny Rohl is like Sonny without Cher (hopefully we dont ski into a tree though) They used to watch the game together in the stadium after the match finished, they gave players individual reviews and training plans on some training camp (think tenerife) when they first started and seemed that Danny was treated as an equally important part of the managerial team. After their break up ralph was the main man (with the 3 goalkeeping musketeers) for a bit before eventually they brought in Rich K who was predominantly a video analyst and we are the biggest team he's worked at. I would spend money on getting an assistant coach Ralph values (remove Dave and Kelvin) and 1 younger uk coach (or promote within)

Heard an interesting bit on a whoscored video. JWP was dribbled past more than the tackles he made this season. Also from the statistical performance metrics that whoscored use this is his worst season as a CM over the last 3 yrs. Obviously his best goalscoring tho, just an interesting point of view I thought.
