England need to commit to a system and play it through the age groups like us and then employ the manger who believes in that system. It would stop the old "don't get enough time with the players" most international managers go on about as they will be only tweaking the players based on the opposition they would be playing for the game, formation is embedded. Unfortunately there is a distinct lack of nuts in the FA and unless we have a shocker in Brazil we will be muddling through hoping for a golden generation again rather than a system that we can exploit.

We are about to have our Fourth England International from our starting line up this season, I think some one more qualified than anyone here thinks he is doing a good job.

Season's targets were compromised as soon as Osvaldo let down the team leaving us without a striker who should be playing in this system. Happy that we are in the top half instead of near bottom and now will muddle through with Lambert and Gallagher, I expect Gaston to begin to chip in with goals to hopefully mitigate the shortfall somewhat. Would be happy with the below team, bit harsh on Davies I know but we just need more direct play in the final 3rd and he isn't chipping in too much with goals, think Morgan looks a bit tired as well so maybe rotate with Cork. This game demonstrated to me why corks pass accuracy is so high, he always plays sideways, I can see why some posters mention he slows us down as he receives the ball and pirouettes before passing sideways, even Lovren was taking the **** out of his scoring record !!. To be fair though think morgan was average as well today and as the other poster said, no creativity in the centre and if I can sin for a moment it started reminding me of Barca v Chelsea from a few years back, their front 6 didn't move outside of their half in the 2nd half. Thought Odemwingie was actually very good and crouch won most of the things coming his way. I know style wise they are old school but when your fighting tooth and nail to get out of the zone you only care about results so fairplay to them.
