Excellent post Damen, and I suspect the majority of Saints Fans would agree with you, I certainly do. Don't forget, most real football fans never go near forums. I used to go to watch Bournemouth a lot before i moved to the Wild West and always look out for your results. Good luck for next season.
I started watching Saints in Division 3 and hoper never to do that again, but for whatever reason we're back there. However things are now looking good and I am confident that we are on our way back and that is thanks in no small measure to Alan Pardew. Get behind the man, he's the best manager we've had in a long time. Abuse him and lose him.
Up and back on the day is not on really. I am getting the train up on Saturday morning and staying at Paddington overnight and catching the 18.00 train home.
Did we play Sheffield United at the Dell a few days earlier and some coach windows were smashed. If so, I do remember it. The United fans were looking for one Saints fan in particular. Unfortunately, he was with me.
Wonder what Rupert makes of it all. Happy fans, a manager who's allowed to manage, a great Chairman and an owner who's confident enough of his staff, not to interfere. Still, it wasn't Rupes fault of course.
I can remember being at Dean Court on 23rd April 1960, our promotion season. Saints
won 3-1. I know that I was at Loftus Road 4 weeks earlier but have no recollection of
the game.
Now lets get behind him and the team and give him our full backing. This is the beginning of a new era. Onwards and upwards with Alan Pardews red and white army.

Stoke had 10 players in the team yesterday over 6 ' in height. I guess long throws and free kicks are a big part of their tactics. I don't think that was ever the case with us.
