Me and a mate took our daughters to the game. It was a fantastic family day out, the girls had a brilliant time. Hats off to NC for organising it. I totally understand why many people didn't come; and I don't believe that the attendance reflects badly on us as fans. I suspect that the club may have taken a big financial loss yesterday; but I don't think that a different pricing policy would have made much difference. We still all love the club and we still all love Markus. The real proof of that will be obvious on 6th August when we take on Leeds.

Got mine today. No problem. I'm a renewal, and I paid in full.

Gainsbourg I'm a big fan of Serge Gainsbourg. The word 'legend' is bandied about far too much these days, but in Gainsbourg's case it would be entirely appropriate to use it. The man was a great lover, a bon viveur extaordinaire and a musical genius. 'Je t'aime....moi non plus' is IMHO the sexiest song ever recorded; and that's even after taking into account the thousands of times it was played at every lame disco I went to as a kid. The film is pretty good and is well worth watching even if you're not a fan of Gainsbourg. You can't help but be impressed by him. My only criticism of the film is that it skimmed over large periods of his life far too quickly but I suppose that is to be expected in any biopic. 7/10

For the record: I have been to big festies, small festies, anarchic festies and family festies. I was at Stonehenge Free Festival and Treworgey. I went to Glastonbury in the 80s, 90s and 00s so I can speak on the subject with some authority because I have witnessed it's decline from an exciting showcase for the arts into the corporate suckfest that it has become. Perhaps some of you have more experience of the scene than me......but I seriously doubt it.

Good. The corporate suck-fest that is Glastonphant has been shoyte for years. There are way too many festivals and 99.9% of them are dog dirt.

Totally agree. Promotion would all but guarantee he stays.....but if we don't get promoted (the likely outcome) would he stay? I am saddened that we haven't got a chant for him; he deserves one, he's been here for quite a while. He's seen all these JCLs like Guly and Barnard get chants but he remains chantless. I've found the tune, let's see who can come up with the words.
