What grips my sh*t is that we walked away when the money tap was turned off. I don't, not nor a nano second, doubt all the great things he did for the club but he quit. Perhaps if he'd agreed to work on a new projest with the backing of KL, instead of just insisting his was the only way, then we wouldn't be in the unstable position we find ourselves in now.

If someone with much, much better contacts than me is to be believed, and I've no reason to doubt him, then KL has made it clear that she would never sell the club to him. Personally I believe he really, really wants the club. If he gets it though is a different thing altogether.

Not every chairman wants sole control of spending someone elses money, walks off in a strop when told no and then goes around distabilsing the club.

I disagree. I've met no one who has said they've an issue with it but then I live in a town that has had a big Polish population since WW2 and the biggest social club in the town is The White Eagle Club so perhaps it's just accepted more. There is also a long history of seasonal foreign workers on the farms around the town which again, perhaps, has influence a more tolerant line. Stoke, however, is certainly different as it's almost universally a "Muslim thing". I've been genuinely gobsmacked by some of the stuff I've heard over the last couple of weeks.

The vast majority cannot differentiate between EU and non-EU immigration and be in no doubt, up here, when people talk immigration, they mean Islam. Immigration from the EU barely registers.

It would be great if people stuck by their beliefs and voted UKIP next May. I'm all for shaking up the Londoncentric politics that we have trust upon us. I had to do a L2 English speaking & listening assessment for some students today and the subject was the elections and almost everyone of them said UKIP was about stopping foreigners coming to the UK. Some certainly do feel it's given credence to their, frankly, racist views and others simply haven't picked up on any other policy or message. Perhaps we need UKIP to do well, and similar parties across Europe, to jolt Brussels into changing the EU as most agree reform/overhaul is needed and soverign governments certainly aren't going to do anything.

I wouldn't call UKIP racist but it clearly has become a refuge for racists by focusing almost only on the immigration issue.

The tories won't as their paymasters won't allow them, hence UKIP. The "big" parties will just ride the storm knowing that come May '15, UKIP will be irrelevant. The only way that it may change is if DC is ousted by the right of his party, which isn't beyond the realms of possibility, which you could argue is a great result for UKIP.

I'd be disappointed if he went as we play some wonderful football under him but I wouldn't be gutted. Only time I've been gutted by a manager leaving it was when NA was sacked and then more for the manner of it. Managers and players come and go; only we remain.
